Ok anybody else getting this to happen..and I will explain the best I can..


when I have the info panel open and I select an object to delete it, for some reason the cursor is in the info panel..so instead of deleting the object it will delete what ever stat the cursor is on. The only way around this is to close the info panel.. now it did not do this in 7.5.

are you double clicking in info panel? that makes a blue highlight on what ever value you select ( with flashing cursor at end). that will make text active so delete will delete the entry not your 3d object.

a click and drag will make a blue highlight on those digits beneath the mouse with the flashing cursor at the end, so delete will delete those selected digits.

using a single click creates just the flashing cursor at the place you clicked.

to solve this go to 3d space and click on the 3d object, then delete. It looks selected but doesn't have focus until you click on it again. When you do that the info panel loses focus, no need to close it.
