Quick question. I'm a new user and want to use truespace in conjunction with CAD/CFD programs (PATRAN, ANSYS, Fluent). Does anyone have experience exporting to these formats? Is TS suitable for drafting accurate 3D models with units preserved? Are there features for displaying dimensions with the models? I could spend time using the code to find this out, but I would like to get input from those using the code. Thanks!

You can draft accurate models in tS, Griff Wason did so for big name companies with accuracies of thousandths of an inch.

There are dimensioning tools to show the size of the model or edges you are drawing etc, in both workspace and Model side.

From the Model side, using the "tS6.6 Files" menu, then Save -> Object, you can select to save as DXF or STL. You can also use formats like OBJ or X if your CAD application imports those.

HTH!
