Hi,

whenever i move/close a toolbar or dialog (like the material editor) it leaves a mark in the 3d view. When i rotate/pan/zoom the view, only the mark is updated, but not the whole 3d view.

I have to use ALT+TAB to fix it. This IS annoying. :(

It happens in DirectX and OpenGL mode but not in wireframe mode.

I attached a picture with the material editor open. I moved the window several times. The red marked area is the last mark and only this shows me the changes when i rotate/pan/zoom the v3d view. I press ALT-TAB to go back into TS and it is fixed...until the next closed dialog/toolbar. :(

Mine will do that sometimes too, but the marks go away after rotating the camera... I don't know how to fix it...

Anyone else?

I tried these settings (in many combinations) already. The problem is still there.

You could make where there is no floor by default, then there would be no lines to bother you. :D

hmmm ... seems those are model window toolbars I see. The directx and opengl from model side is not going to do anything on workspace side, which is what the image shows. Or could be model side made to look like workspace side.

I wonder if this is a graphics driver/settings scenario. You may wish to experiment with settings and ensure driver is current.

I'm having a similar problem in workspace since the first tS7 version. Floating toolbars and the library browser just dispappear and leave like ghost shadows until I hover over them to make them reappear again.

Hmm,

i think i "fixed" the problem. Looks like Microsoft is punishing you for not enabling and using AERO. ;)

I re-enabled the AERO service and the design service and switched from the standard Windows look to AERO look. Voila! No more trails/marks in modelspace.
Btw. the problem was just in the modelspace and not in the workspace.

I think that ATI somehow optimized their drivers to work better with AERO and they forgot to look closer at other issues with their drivers. Or it is generally a problem with disabled AERO service....hmm...i really do not know. :(

Oh, i had a similar problem with Kerkythea and it's also fixed now. :)

p.s.: The drivers are up to date.
