In the workspace side, when I switch to "wireframe grid" it results in what you see in the image I captured - a fixed grid in the top-right corner rather than the plane itself being changed to a grid.

Can you screen grab your grid settings? The grid can be set to be in different planes, and at different zooms - it is not impossible to get this look using those settings, so it may be a settings issue rather than bug.

Attaching my grab showing the same effect caused by swapping the grid plane and making the zoom smaller. Zoom 40 is default, with an XY plane. For the image below I swappedto an XZ plane, with a zoom of 5.

Thanks!

Tom

Okay, I see what you mean.

It just seemed unnatural when I switched to it and see it flat like that while I expected a perspective view of it.

Now in the other views, the grid appears as just a line. I assume that it's because it's linked to "screen" view as opposed to a "world" view. How can I associate the grid to "world"...or is it "screen" only? And if it's screen only, what can I do with these lines?

highlight your workspace and hit the settings tab on the right

Under your ground plane, you wan to have these settings:

Grid - Wire

Tilecount - 40

Zoom - 40

Type - xy

Yep. Those are the settings I've got set, and it comes up like the image in the initial post. Hmm. I wonder if maybe I need to reinstall or something. :(

before doing that, try right-clicking on each setting and choosing "reset" see if that fixes it.
