It's so good to have the new forum  , so I'm posting something I'm working on for the short movie project over at the german trueSpace forum.

This is just the front view of the cathedral, the rear part is in the works. A bit of postwork done in Paintshop Pro (Color correction, sky).

Wow, that's very nice, was it done in 6.6 or 7? Looking forward to seeing the progress on this. It kinda reminds me of that huge Cathedral I visited in Trier.

Nice job, some comments:
Don't be scared to use bump mapping, on the Stones. The figures mapped on the pillars kill the image, they do not look carved out of the stone, either use higher bump mapping or remove them completly.

Hey! Cool Cathedral. I made one for an animation a while back. Yours however, puts mine to shame :)

Mine took 2 hours non-stop to string together. How long has yours taken so far? I like that we picked similar angles :D

I don't know how many hours I've been working on it. But I'm sure it's more than 20. I'm a little bit nit picky when I'm modeling, so I was doing a lot of stuff twice.

Wow that's a nice job. Hope I can get that adept at modeling. Anyway some constructive criticism if I may. I like the suggestion of added bump mapping that was given and I understand that this is still in the works. However I'd also like to add that unless you intened the cathedral to be newly built looking you will need to add some dirt and age to it. You might already have that in the works but thought I'd add my 2 cents... or 1/1000 of a Euro..?;) I'm not sure on the exchange rate there sorry.:p

All textures on this model have bump maps. The ones I increased most are the figuers near and above the main entrance (Amp 1). I'm not sure if I should touch the rest. I'll see.

At the time the scene should play in, the building could very well be new, but I know that old and weatherd always looks good in CG :). I'm thinking about adding dirtmaps to all the textures, but that will be a lot of work as you can imagine. The model has around 250k polys. Anyway, I will consider aging it.

Thanks for the comments.

If your using TS7 use the displacement mapping and displacement brush to help in your aging and distressing work. That way you won't have to worry about having your bumpmaps fail on you.

I have ts7 but I'm not using it unless I have more power under my a**. It's already a struggle with 6.6 and my dusty laptop. But can someone explain me where to find displacement in ts7? Or do you mean normal maps?
