I have some .bvh motion capture that I had bought from TrueBones' site. What I noticed about all the mocap that I bought (about 10 or 12 inividual files), is that it doesn't include fingers in the hands of the mocap files. I so badly wanted to get one of the larger "mocap studios" from TrueBones' site, and I put it on my wishlist for 2008, but then I took it off, not because it's too much money (it's actually a great deal IMO!), but because I have some game characters I made (imported from 3ds max/Maya into TS 7.6) which were human game characters, and they have hands. The TrueBones mocap includes every human joint possible, except for finger joints.

Q1. What should I do?

Q2. Will this work? (I mean will I have to control the fingers manually, or will the mocap control them too?):

1. Import the .bvh files, and characters.

2. Use the Add Joint tool on the workspace side to add joints to the fingers, starting at the wrists.

3. Skin the characters.

Q3. Oh, and another question about mocap: In Truespace, how do you assign more bvh mocap files to a character on the workspace if the character is already skinned with one bvh file or other animation?

Thanks in advance!

The IncrediBones Pak contains HandBones and fingers.

I have also posted a Hand with Fingers BVH in the Free demo of TrueBones.

Click demo page at TrueBones.Com

the hand with fingers should be addable to any or all TrueBones Skeletons.
