When I export a model to .x and open it in darkbasic the model has no shading with regards the directional light (ie comes out as if cell shaded) Admittedly the colour IS present, but no shading occurs...Furthermore the light commands to it seem not to function.

If I open it in TS 5.8 there is no colour information on the surface and the reflectance comes out as phong + reflectance + refraction ie all wrong....

Workaround= repaint model in 5.8 and the object has its lightmap correct again in dB Pro.....but the file size doubles

Question: is there a way of exporting from 7.6 to get the right lightmapping in DarkBASIC Pro as, even when NO triangulation is performed on the output, the resultant .x from TS5.8 retextured doubles in size....a 187k figure ends up around the 400k mark and from TS6 it goes to a massive 1.5M (albeit fully shading and fine)....ie far too big for what was 187k and is a single frame of an animation....have also tried through blender and Obj through Canvas Pro to no better than the above.

Thanks

I have the same problem with fps creator, which is built off dbp. I run it through ultimate unwrap 3d pro and it fixes everything. uu3d is 60 bucks but well worth it.
