Nice dragon. that can be a bit difficult to animate for your game - very ambitious.

A very quality project Vicky.. :jumpy:

A question, you've made all?? Modeling, Texturing, Bones, Animation, Scripts??

Hi Prodigy,

No I don't make all the models, I buy some and some of them came with RC, but all objects and building, land and main actor models I made. I'm also working on a set of monster models that I will add when I finish them~

Maybe a stupid question. But is it actually playable now? I remember you were looking for beta testers 1.5 years ish ago.

Very impressive btw.

Yes it's totally playable, I have a small group of people that are playing the game as it is now. It helps a lot when you are trying to find all the bugs. I ran an open beta last year just to see how many people I could get into the server, boy! I won’t make that mistake again. As soon as I posted that the game was open to play it was like I was flooded with people trying to download it and sign in to the server. The first 300 went ok but then it was like the server could not handle the traffic and people started getting dropped from the server and finally it just crashed..LOL! Needless to say I have a bigger server now with a larger bandwidth pipeline.

Check out the new bump-mapping in Dark Basic using the FX mod~

I made this in TS the loaded the models into the DB engine.

Edit: (moved images to end of post)

It looks a lot like the mapping out of the Doom3 game,

thats stunning, can you show a wire frame of the model so we can see whats the bump-map and what isn't? Are you still using Realmcrafter?

Sure, Here is the wireframe for that last model;

Edit: (moved images to end of post)

All this stuff is for an article I'm doing for the Game Creators Magazine. They

gave me the engine and asked if I would do it and I said yes~

Thats really good, the effect the bumpmapping is having is impressive, i really thought a few of the bricks must have been modelled to be raised out slightly. Nice work

I have been experimenting with bump map shaders, here is some of what I have been doing with them besides what you see above,

Edit: (moved images to end of post)

I hope to get them to where they are very light and will run really fast in the

game~

Thanks guys!

This morning I continued to work on the Tomb level and I think I have all the

architecture of the building finished. It’s time to start populating it with some

monsters~

Yeah! I got it; I have achieved the look I was after for this portal door.

The particle effect is now the misty eerie cloud with a hint of skull faces

in the mix so as you are looking at it you sort of catch the skull faces out

of the corner of your eye. The effect make you look twice at it. This is so cool~:>

Hi Frog,

well I'm not moving the project or anything, I have just been doing a tutorial for TGC about how to move models from TS 7 to the Darkbasic engine. I will use it for something but it won't be an mmorpg. When I get home I will move this model into RC and post here.
