I was looking for some kind of grass designer and there is nilch. Why do all the free programs such as Blender and povaray and other such as Maya have all the good stuff. I think it is a shame that there is not better support for TS.

Do you mean, for the Model side rjeff?

Workspace side plugins, are in development; I am working on one but it's tough finding the time to work on it (though it's just about complete).

I would love to see workspace support for the .SWF flash rendering plug-in.

Since when does blender have a grass designer?:confused:

You can make grass at least as good (better imo) as pov-ray's best grass plug-in that I know of using prodigy's simple grass tutorial.

Prodigy's grass tutorial is here. (http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=2710)

Emmanuel's tsx Archive is here. (http://emmanuel.asset.free.fr/tsxarchive/index.htm)

Somebody made grass from the tS7 Hair tool, can't remember who or where.

Who said that ?

Rjeff mentioned that all the other programs have the good things and we dont...

So I said its a matter of time that Truespace will have all the good things too !

In fact the program that you punish me most for to always mention it... Kerky

has grass libraries full of different grasses and a fantastic instancing tool...

almost as good as Vue......

Those are alternatives I always mention (see I did it again:D)that are free and

open to every TS user here.:)

That's pretty clear to me. I'm not sure whether you're talking about another thread, but I was posting about this rant.

Also, I've never victimised you for liking Kerkythea. You made a pest of yourself by spamming Kerkythea in threads about other renderers, something that is specifically forbidden at the kerkythea forums. In fact they forbid comparisons completely (because it causes flame wars and irritates people - smart guys).

I've got nothing against you posting about K in this thread, or the plethora of others you like to promote it in (are you on a commission? ;)). It's because it's not a dribble or vray thread. I don't really see how that's unfair.

I do think K is a good renderer, as I've always said, but I still have reservations about it. Maybe when the next version comes out I'll have another look at it.

No sorry Transient I was just thinking that you were nudging me..

but I must have overreacted so again sorry....;)

Theres lots of talking about Dribble and VRAY going on and

I see no problem in also seeing Kerky and Vue up as a solution

The problem of software like Maxwell etc. isnt that its not good

but its out of the price range for most same as the well known Pixar

Renderman. I only propose what I do because its free and does well...;)

Ok here is a prime example of what I have been talking about. Vue 7xstream is a killer plug in app for enviroment design, something TS needs badly. Of course it works with 3ds Maya and others, but not us. This is what we need. We need this type of functionality.

Hello

Vue 5 infinite compatibility since I cannot afford to upgrade to version 7 :)

This has been my biggest hang-up with truespace. You really need to get with eon software or TS will be left further behind.

Glad to see someone else agrees.
