Being just a toolbar, it should be easy to hide, reposition, or save in a layout the way you like it.

HTH!

I did find V-Ray unloaded from the Package Manager on installing, a little odd but easily remedied by doing an Install New, selecting V-Ray.rsx, and then doing a Load. I'll pass on the info and the installation process can be looked into, maybe even that minor hiccup can be straightened out!

Once installed, here on Vista 64 bit, Tentacles works normally from the toolbar, I didn't get an error message about it at all.

If you do run into problems, send along a step-by-step of what you were doing, plus a screengrab if useful to show the error, to my email address, and I'll forward along to TurboSquid!

Thanks!

Tom

Yeap.. seems turbo squid has problems on find the main app.

mmmm...i think i understand what's happend here..

Ivampretti, Let me guess... you live in brasil Right? and you have Xp in portuguez or spanish?? Right??

Im using XP Spanish Edition, and XP use a folder called "Archivos de Programa" instead "Program Files" used by default on XP English edition...

Maybe that's the problem..

Hahahahha I was right :banana::banana:

Locate your Turbosquid Instalation (spanish edition) Archivos de programa
Create a folder on the root of your C: called "Program Files" and copy your turbosquid folder there...

Voilá, now Turbosquid runs from Truespace... :D

Pedantic I know, but it is a shame that the toolbar is slightly bigger than the rest of those in workspace...:o

Nice icons though...who made them? Reminds me of Hexagon colour scheme.

Aha, so it was you Prodigy. Take out a Buddy World subscription immediately as your pennance (all said in best Pantomime bad guy voice)....:D

Icons are 26x26.

To start, I make a 300x300 images bring in to PS then select the background colour and delete it leaving the icon 'floating' above the background layer (grey) in a photoshop document (although none of this affects the icon). I save each 'icon layer' as a 24 bit BMP for archiving. I keep one PSD file with all the different layers in it.

To process each one I load into PS then use the select tool (no AA) and pick the background colour with a toerance of 0, hit Q to make a quick mask then shrink the icon to 26x26. I then go into the channels menu, select the newly created alpha layer and hit I to invert it.

Finally save as 32bit BMP with Alpha....voila!

Actually, TurboSquid made everything themselves, it's a totally third party app. Prodigy I think is just asking for his own reasons :)

Welcome Buddy, thanks for posting! I did want to mention that TurboSquid are already aware and working on both issues mentioned (the uninstall of V-Ray from the Package Manager, and the directory naming for non-English versions of Windows), since they are very responsive on these sort of issues :)

I would like to suggest that your toolbar icons be the same size as trueSpace Workspace's icons. Instead of a standalone toolbar, I would rather you installed nested buttons within the small Main Workspace toolbar where the Plug in tool is located. Of course you would also have to rebuild it's toolbar prototype and save it to disk. So in a nutshell you would only see one icon with the rest of your icons in a fly out. And... if possible save the Default layout and or create your own even better.

Thanks for bringing this up trueBlue. I must say that I concur. Making the icons the same size as the rest of the icons in the interface will allow the tentacles plugin to be more 'congruent' with the truespace interface. Also, nested buttons *by default* would be really nice, because it keeps the interface neater.

I am almost done with some other efforts so I will be able to spend more quality time experimenting with the plugin. I'm looking forward to putting stuff up there and seeing what happens. :)

Sorry but I won't even install it until the icon size is fixed, you condense to one icon, and fix the VRay problem.

Hi Steinie, We are currently working on a fix for the VRay problem and it should be coming soon. Menu bar improvements are also coming. I'm not sure they will be available at the same time as the VRay fix, but they won't be too far behind.

-Thanks

Hey Buddy. It looks like we need a few categories for the tentacles plugin:

Plugins

Scenes

Scripts / Link Editor (LE) Creations

Models

Video Tutorials

'Still' Tutorials: Documents, PowerPoint Presentations

Also, a comments field to provide a brief description of the item (maybe 500 characters max). I have not studied the interface too much yet due to lack of time so if this is already there, then good on you!

In order to familiarize myself with the interface I will try to upload my powerpoint script/LE tutorial as soon as I can, hopefully this week.
