Is the 6.6 manuel posted any place? I just realized that model side does not have a help menu that leads to a manuel, like 7.6 help menu does, but only for 7.6 and does not include the model side 6.6 tools.
So if the manuel is not posted, then I am asking that Caligari post the 6.6 manuel. The reason is it would help new persons understand these tools, the FA and a lot more. Since they have these tools present, they should have a manuel to explain them. |

The modeler tools are in the manual. The 7.6 manual is definitely in need of some reorganization imo, distinctly separate sections for modeler and workspace would be a good start.
Maybe a section in the intro briefly outlining the history of truespace and why the modeler aspect is there would be cool too. It's a bit confusing at the moment imo. |

The tS7 manual does contain all the elements of the tS6.6 manual, and all the old tools from the Model side, so no need to post the 6.6 manual separately. A search of the manual will show the old Model side tools as well as the new ones, usually divided into their own categories!
The Help or Manual button in the dialog on the Model side may not work, but I prefer to open it from outside the software anyway, or indeed just open it from workspace side.
HTH!

Specifically:
Chapter 4 covers modelling in 'Model View' (chapter 3 is equivalent for workspace) and Chapter 6 covers surfacing in Modelview (Chapt 5 for workspace).
Chapter 2, Interface - you need section 2.14 which specifically covers the model view.
Chpater 7 Lighting/rendering - you need section 7.2 for lighting in model view, 7.3 for LW rendering, 7.4 for Virtualight
I've not really looked at any of the animation/physics side of stuff, but the above should form the core sections of the manual from the 6.6 manual anyway, as far as stills work is concerned.
Edit - I would note that I can open the 7.6 manual from within 7.6, whilst in modelside, provided that the default workspace toolbar is still present along the bottom of my screen (which it still is at present as I've not altered my layout!) But as Tom says, it's just as useful to open it directly through windows explorer or equivalent.... |

I think everything's there except for model side animation including physics, trueparticles and facial animator. It was in the 7.0 manual but I can't find it in the 7.5 or 7.6 manuals. |
