Well, that is really expected. People need to eat, and giving software away never achieves this.

I wonder whether they are making a mistake by promising to support kerkythea in the future? They're going to have to kick many goals with the new project to make money considering the competition. With paying customers breathing down their necks, I highly doubt this is a promise they can keep.

Anyway, I'll keep an open mind until it comes out. If it's a lot better than Kerkythea, I might even consider buying it. ;)

Thea is also an animation suite with motion blur.... has displacement

at render time(less memory consumption) and what is more important for Truespace users

is that it can bake textures which makes your workspace realtime

look like it was a Gi solution.....

Interesting for Jack is that there is an sdk and they want to integrate to as many applications as possible.

Except Truespace;):D

because thats how it normaly goes ... you get exporters for next to anything

just not for Truespace.....

besides being able to see the first entry page I get for all forum threads

You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.

Can understand if special threads are closed for unregisterd people but forcing one to "pay" before "buy" is quite unpolite.

EDIT:

with pay I just mean "register ......and your email account"

most forums I know at least allow free look at the normal threads

The render engine is still in alpha stage right now and therefore

there is no site standing yet just the forum.

All you have to do is register your nickname and a password and

your email account...... same procedure as with most sites

like Ts community forum....

they are still putting up a timeframe for beta testing.... timeframe for it to

hit the market will be September but there will be an open beta before that..

Most companies dont let you look into alpha development at all !;)

Some companies dont even answer your question about bug fixes let alone

anything devoted to development;)

The picture of a radio looks impressive. Is that translucency and subsurface scattering?

It is both !

I set up a material that is very near to the one on the radio for Kerkythea !

You can inspect it and tweak it with more or less translucency and sub surf...
