What is the best way to make a music video clip and get in sync with the music. I am new to TrueSpace, but as far as I can tell it is not possible to import MP3/WAV and sync it. Music can be added afterwards (with another program), but getting it in sync is very hard.
The problems are movement in sync and lyp sync.
How do I create something "simple" as this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIUoMUwFlFQ&feature=related) |

Here you find a animation tutorial. The last chapter is about lip sync http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/Newcharacteranimation.asp?Cate=Training&SubCate=Older
The used plugin is called CACAPHONY http://synthart.com/urban/tsx/
Maybe this plugin here could also help (CK BPM SYNC): http://www.digivision.com.tw/truespace/tsplugin/index2.htm |

Without plugins, the only option at present is manually synching - go through the audio, break down the times at which various poses need to happen (mouth poses, etc), and then using that sheet of info, go into tS and set the relevant poses at the relevant keyframes. For mouth poses like this, you would most likely want to look into creating appropriate vertex morphs.
There is presently no way to import and use audio in the workspace animation editor, so you would need to export and add audio afterward, and the manual synch up is the only method without adding extra plugins.

Adobe After Effects does this nicely. (along with other programs)
Convert Audio to Keyframes
Then, one just matches the graphics/text moving along with the keyframes of the music. |

It looks like Cacaphony will the one I need.
I am very new at trueSpace and a bit overwelmed with the options. Not bad for free stuff. |

That's what I did with the animation I submitted this month.
Recorded my voice in four separate pieces then manual sync.
No matter how you do it it will be a laborious task. |

no matter which program you use you have to be able to live in the second.
I would suggest starting with programs like flash and protools.
ALso use TrueSPace once you have a solid sound track and make an animatic, be sure to numbe your frames, like total number of frames then keep dividing by two backwards divided by frame rate to understand pacing and flow.
