hi all,

My mom works at our church, making the news bulletin. She needed my help with the "techie" stuff, so I'm in the middle of that.

Anyway, the logo she's using is outdated, and was low res. (Like below 200 px... ughhh...) So I offered to redraw the logo up in high resolution using photoshop. In this post, I've attached both the old and the new logos.

More to the point, I need to know what font they are using in the old one, and I can't change it. Anybody who knows, please provide me with a link.

thanks in advance!

DAVID looks close and has a fitting name !;)
The letter 'C' is a hard match at a quick glance.

I didn't scroll down far enough to see your smaller image of the text that you were originally looking for. I glanced through all of my fonts and the letter 'O' is a tough match !;)
Here's a site that may help you search (type in 'CATHOLICA' for comparison).....(http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/searchresults.htm?st=4&cid=Old+Style+Serif)

It looks like an old Jesuit style of font... Isn't that from the Holy Trinity catholic church in DC?

If so, that church was founded by Jesuits. In such a case, this is as close as I can get you.

You could make your own letters in TS.

Use the image to trace 2D curves over each different letter. Then sweep if needed or just use as 2D placed over the surface.

There isn't a whole alphabet there so it might take less time than looking for the font and would certainly be a match to the original.
