I'm interested in both of them.

The goo monster in Monsters vs. Aliens reminds me of the game World of Goo (http://www.worldofgoo.com/).

The so called "goo monster" that Robert talks about is called BOB...

BOB seams to be a really funny monster - I wish I knew him.

Something that would be very interesting would be of someone could recreate BOB in TS? That would be very interesting to see... is it possible?

Yeah you can create BOB, he would only be good for a still image though unless you use metaballs and animate those around somehow with a sphere mapped texture over the whole thing to stay constant or whatever.

It wouldn't be all that hard actually.

I know why I got it wrong,

I had it confused with Monsters Inc.

That and doesnt the styling look somewhat Pixar Like?

Cheers
P.S. Is it me or does it look like UP will go over like a lead balloon compared to M vs A?

I'm a real fan of 3d animated films but have not been very impressed with the trailers for either Up or Monster vs Aliens. Bolt was quite good, especially the hamster in his little plastic ball, that cracked me right up. But the film I'm most looking forward to seeing is Planet 51. Don't know if it's because I'm a Brit, but this trailer had me in stitches:

Click for Planet 51 link
