Voodoo free match moving software seems to be working out very well with Truespace 7.6. There is unlimited background videos you can find on youtube and other video websites to practice with. As an example of how to get unlimited high quality videos to use for matchmoving camera matching practice just go to a video site like http://www.vimeo.com and using http://www.clipnabber.com you can download any videos (make sure you get the approval of the video owner of course before using any video). Lots of high def videos like this http://www.vimeo.com/871061

Hi seppgirty, Yes, Voodoo works great with TS 6.6 but the MODEL side of Truespace 7.6 IS TS 6.6 and many say its more stable the than the stand alone 6.6. Iam seeing more and more amazing things with match moving. People take regular home and professional video footage and inserting their 3D work in to those videos opens up a whole world of possiblilities. And since you can grab any vimeo.com or youtube.com video and use that is awesome (again make sure to get the video posters permission... many people I have asked have allowed me to use their footage).

Here is a tutorial I made about a year ago

i see that the tutorial you made was for the SYTHESIS program. it was very well done:) have you done a tutorial using the VOODO program? i read the short one on(i forget his name right now) page and was wondering if there are any "more detailed" tutorials out there? i'll have to try the 6.6 side of 7.6 and see if it seems more stable:) thanks again for the links... i'll have to post them on my site......

Hi seppgirty, I dont have any voodoo truespace tutorials right now but I just put that on my to do list. When I first started learning matchmoving I googled. the 3 or 4 major matchmoving softwares tutorials. I watched video tutorials on syntheyes, matchmover, boujou and voodoo. Keep in mind the concepts on all of them are very similar. You have automatic tracking and manual tracking. You add your own tracking points when scenes are tricky. You set the coordinates for the plane just about same in all the programs. So if you search and watch some of the boujou, syntheyes and matchmover video tutorials you will get a great concept on how to do that in voodoo.

And dont forget Frank Ladner is the guy who wrote the voodoo truespace plugin and he is on this forum and answers questions. His site is here ..

I wanted to share some settings I use in Voodoo. This post was from back in 2006, so the screengrabs were taken from an older version, but the settings should still be the same in the current version of Voodoo.

Yeah, the settings are still pretty much the same. Just a few differences under the 3D flags section.
