Any news on the January galleries? I understand there's a process which is followed to get the pages updated of course, but it's now February 11.
I'm curious to see the results, and also to see which prizes the winners pick. :)

It finally made it thru committee.
<EDIT>
I have to say, the 'Special Recognition' entries are very impressive.
Well done, Beomcheol Jeong! |

Yes. Interesting style to show a real architectural project. For hd illustration only, not animation because photoshop. Good work. |

Congrats to the winners - they definitely deserved a win this month - AWESOME!!! I'm hoping one day to win, but I guess I will have to REALLY improve to match these. |

Thanks for the congrats. It is so nice to win....
The picture is based on my SMC entry for the Bling Bling challenge. The sign on the radiator is an official plate of the Tulpenrallye (tulip-race). It is a race that starts when the tulips bloom in Holland and leaves from that area (where I live nearby) and goes all the way to the south of France. So they actually race across public roads, hopefully but not necessarily keeping to the speed limits! It is obviously a sport for the happy few with big fast cars. This year is the 50th time they drive the rallye (in May). The yellow plate is from the first race in 1949. I once bought it on a rummage sale and have copied it in 3D.
I am pleased to see the Matrix phone win. Breech Block put so much effort in it, a master of detail!

it's a shame someone forgot to subdivide the headlight bezel on that Bugatti.
I'm surprised the judges didn't notice the facetting there! |

Sometimes it's hard to make out details when you're driving by too fast.
I think those are the rooflines of the buildings in the image that was used to provide reflections. |

Many congrats to Georg for his well deserved win and on his Bugatti image (Blimey! that car gets about a bit, it was in Paris last time I saw it :D:p:D).
Thanks also to adriani, Nez, George and everybody else for the many kind words regarding my entry. Just kinda glad the Matrix Phone is finished TBH as it was a bit of a long-haul. Although, that said, I'm already hard at work researching my next big modelling project.:o |
