Hi,

A simple idea wich can help you (i think many people know that).

for those who have Vray, it is possible to use Vray materials with LightWork render engine.

I prefer working with HDRI+lightwork but i prefer Vray Fresnel matérial than lightwork Glass, especially for transparent forms in darkness.

On the model side, i choose vray render engine. Now i can choose fresnel on the materials editor.

then i choose Lightwork render engine. now, i can modify the fresnel material like i want and i can do a lightwork render with HDRI and fresnel.

It is possible to use all the others Vray materials with lightwork (some options have no effects but it is cool to try).

Might also want to check into the free ShaderLab and its shaders, whch have Fresnel shaders in there - TG Glass is pretty comprehensive in what it can do with those sort of options for example ;) And all the options are guaranteed to work!

Thank Tom

Nope, it's no coincidence :) I took to naming my shaders TG something or other, so that folks knew who to blame ;)

HTH!

Tom

EDIT

And there's the shader page :

I think most of the free ones were built into the ShaderLab install, but you may want to try downloading and installing just in case.
