Hey folks.
I thought it was possible to post stuff to turbosquid, with links to websites.
I am thinking, it's possible to include a link in the Product Description. The link may not work, but at least people can copy and paste it into their browser.
I will try this for starters, to see if it works.
Any other tips are most appreciated.
thanks!

If the process is stopping you embedding a full link in the text seen on TurboSquid, then perhaps there is a TurboSquid policy on the issue, so I would recommend contacting TurboSquid and asking them about this. After all they may have a concern with people being directed to other sales sites, for instance, given that is the business they are in and that would be a problem, basically advertising a competitor to themselves.
One alternative though is that links to websites could go into supporting documentation, perhaps in an install process or zip file. To keep the benefits of uploading an RsOBJ or RsSCN, these items could be added as extra download item that accompanies the product (you can upload the same model in multiple formats, or have multiple files for one entry, so you could include a zip or maybe even the doc file directly after moving the RsOBJ onto there).
For tS scenes and objects there is another alternative, since information can be embedded in a 3D object itself. Not possible with many object types which are more closed in what they are. For tS though, this would be another route to directing people to support websites and similar.
HTH!

Ah well that makes sense. Thanks Tom.
Yes, for the RsObj files, I can create a 'Info' tab, with a textbox containing additional information.

Or...from a tS76 button script:
RsTool.OpenWebPage("forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=7728")
You should not include:
http://
in the begining of the link within the quotes. |
