Awhile back I purchased the truebones.com mega motions pak of bvh motion files. I just got the new updated pack (very kind of truebones to allow me an upgrade). Anyway, tested many of the new updated motions in Poser and MotionBuilder and am really impressed. Better compatibility and more fluid motions. I like doing the Poser to Truespace or MotionBuilder to Truespace pipeline. Iam currently testing the new motions in Daz Studio with the ANIMATE plugin. Nice thing about Daz Studio is that its free and the ANIMATE plugin is only $39.99.

In additon to my previous post on Daz Animate here are some additional comparisons between MotionBuilder and Daz Animate...

This looks pretty neat. Is there anyway to get the daz studio animated models into ts? Would be especially handy if you could get lipsynch animations from there to ts. As ts workspace side is falling short on lip synch tools currently.

Hi 3dfrog, My way of getting from Daz Studio ANIMATE to Truespace is the same as Pozer to Truespace. First save the character from Daz Studio as an OBJECT file. Then import that in to the MODEL side of Truespace via the OBJ LUVV plugin. Then I export the BVH file from Daz Studio/Animate. Once in Truespace Workspace side I insert that bvh skeleton in to the obj model. Then all additional bvh animations from Daz Animate for that model I only need to export bvh skeleton and grab the ANIM CLIP out of the bvh files. Very very fast and easy. I dont know about lip sync but am looking in to all kinds of Daz Studio stuff to Truespace ... as Daz Studio is FREEEEEE and the Animate Plugin is only 39.99 or less. Truespace is free and Daz Studio is free. Great combo in my opinion. :)

Yes, once DAZ BVH skeleton is skinned to model in tS then it is really easy making animations in DAZ and almost instantly play them out in tS. Morphs in DAZ and Morph packages can also be brought over but it is more time consuming. Once morphs are in place then one would then construct the facial animation in tS. I really don't see easy way for DAZ facial animations to be brought straight into tS.

Yes, it is instant complex animations from both Poser and Daz Studio Animate ONCE the character is orginally skinned in Truespace. Once people realize that once you get the Poser or Daz character skinned in Truespace then all the addional motions you bring over from Poser or Daz you just grab out the ANIM CLIPS out of the skeletons and drop them in to your truespace timeline. Once in the truespace timeline you then can stretch them, cut them, blend them. It really is so easy to grab out the ANIM CLIPS from the skeletons and just drop them in the timeline. A classic example is in this youtube video I just did I used several bvh animations and brought them over from Daz Animate to Truespace and blended them in the timeline. Only took a few minutes.
