You are not alone.

The forum has been painfully slow recently.

Hmm, that's odd as it is working fine here, I haven't seen any slowdown at all. There was one period in time where the websites (forum and main site) appeared to be slowed down significantly, at least for me, but that was just for about half a day or so, and just the once.

Anyone else seeing this? I would ping Norm or Tech Support about it, just so we have it on record who is seeing problems (in case there is a common link that can be spotted).

HTH!

I haven't seen any difference.

However, I did ping caligari.com and got four time outs.

Not sure if that is the server protection or exactly what.

events like Obama can saturate the network. I had this problem on other sites including Google in France 2 days ago. I had no problem with this forum.

I am usually on at stupid o'clock in the morning these days and really don't notice any performance degradation.

try using opera. I've not noticed any slowdown but I do notice it can be very slow if you use internet explorer...opera generally is faster at displaying tables of information AND you can set the pages to refresh at regular intervals..

Noticed slowdown too, was already thinking if with drop of VRay the server was also changed.

I'm in Germany so maybe it's a certain routing that slows down ?

Strange, the forum is really fast here.

The only thing slow about it is that is very few threads posted - are people not in the mood for communicating?

Probably on the same network as Emma (Germany )and yes it was slow the last few days......

Funny thing was that I thought that my graphics card would be to blame.

The pages came and somewhat expanded from inside out....

Very unusual because it normaly flashes right up.....

Still is lagging behind from the edges ... it sort of pulls open.

I have a 24 inch monitor which isnt easy for a graphics card but I only see all that with the internet...

It may be pc related. at work, the forums work just fine, but sometimes here at home, I type a response and submit, and 10 min later it's still trying to submit... I copy my text - close my firefox and then restart and can reply just fine. I'm pretty sure it's the PC :D

like this post. hehehe

These little oddities didn't start until the Forum layout began to be restructured.
On top of that....I'm sure that most people here would rather see the easier access to the color Font for a post rather than the extra variations with the Font style !
