While the pages aren't live yet, wanted to say that we have new gallery prizes this month. The Blender Fluid Sim plugin is one new option, as is the TrueBones MonsterBones MegaMotion Pak. Both will be available as choices in all 3 contest categories (Image, Animation and Virtual Earth). Thanks to both the developers for their sponsorship of the Gallery contest!
I'll post again when the pages are updated to reflect that, but figured I would post here first and let everyone know that was coming (Twitter followers heard about it yesterday ;) ).
Thanks!

Does this mean I have to enter to win or can I lay back in my usual apathetic pose in lounge chair comfort and collect the prize? :) |

The request for the pages to go live has gone in, so hopefully they will update in the next few hours, I'll be keeping my eye on them to see. The prizes will be mentioned in the entry form, but we're also going a step further to give what exposure we can to our helpful sponsors, we'll be adding icons for them in the gallery index pages for animations and images.
Then when the January results are released, the plan is to have their icons on the index pages for that specific month too (not on the individual images though).
So on the main index pages, you can see who is sponsoring this month. Then since they were kind enough to give prizes for that month, they will show up on the results page too.
I hope this brings the plugins and development work to the attention of some new people (there are a LOT of people who look at the galleries every month, a lot more than visit the forums say!). That's certainly my intent!
Thanks!

Cool Tom. Good to see! I hope folks will like using the Full Version of the Fluid Sim Importer plugin. The trial version that everyone can download here on the forums excludes the RSX file which converts the blender data to truespace format, but the Prize version is the full version of course, which includes the RSX file.

It would be a good idea to include Parva's shader pack as a prize too :jumpy: |

The updates have gone live, seems to be trouble free. Our contest sponsors for the month that is running now appear on the index page:
http://www.caligari.com/Gallery/ImagesGallery/default.asp?SubCate=Images
They will also appear on the results index page for the month they sponsored, and of course they are listed on the Contest page itself:
http://www.caligari.com/Gallery/Contest.asp
We hope this gives good coverage to them and let's more people hear about their excellent products (and of course it gives some nice prizes for people to pick from when they enter the contest). Once again our thanks to those sponsors for donating those prizes.
Thanks!

I was winner in march 2008 winner and runner up in may 2008 if i remember. I never asked for prices because I did this just for fun. Is it possible to have the TrueBones MonsterBones MegaMotion Pak?
I hope to have more time in 2009 to post (i only posted 3 times and I won 3 times) :)
Thank.

It would not be possible to claim the TrueBones or the Fluid Sim prizes for contest wins prior to this month (ie January 2009), since the sponsors were not sponsoring the contest back then, and were getting no coverage and promotion back then. That would be a distinct "loss" for the sponsors, ending up in lots of copies of their software given away for no return for them!
You'd have to contact Customer Support on the subject of prizes beyond that though.
HTH!

I would like to claim "Mr. Bones" for my prize. He can wash my dishes, dust, maybe cut the lawn.
Lucky for him I never won...:p |
