Well guys, most of you know how i fell.. Make 3d for a living is very hard here in Uruguay and this kind of announcments are not good news for me and my work.
I received some oppinions that some of my comments are poison and mean-spirited..
And to be honest that hurts me alot..
So, i decided to take a brake from Truespace and Beta forum for my own good..

I was puzzled for a few minutes (I read the 'new posts' in the wrong order, so I didn't know what announcement you were talking about), but I agree this must be difficult news for you...

I haven't seen anything like that but anyone accusing you in such a way isn't worth paying any attention to IMO - I echo Georg's comments (and those of others) that you are (and always have been) a source of inspiration, encouragement and much assistance to many on the forums. Hope this is not a permanent departure as you will be sorely missed, mi amigo. |

hi my old Friend!
I undersand you...it is not easy to work in 3D today. When all are hobby is
good but WHEN you need it to live is very bad. Specially when you work hard to save money.
I feel sad because, for instance in this forum, You are only guy that makes something for the TS, give us help,comments etc etc.......... :(
So person like you need work in Caligari company, I hope The people of Caligari
See it.....is not easy today find someone like you.

The problems with forums is things often get lost in translation, comments seem to come out wrong and people often round on them.
Even the slightest thing can appear as a peronal dig even if wasn't probably ment that way.
There is people that do get very brave on the internet and seem to go out of their way to p*ss people off though.. but I don't think I've seen anyone here do that?
If its any consulation, I had a game leak out that wasn't even finished, or ment to be a public game, it was just an experiment that went wrong, so they wiped out all my bandwidth in a day and a half and 5000 people reckon the game is cr*p which was hardly surprising.. even so it was really annoying, it does hurt to read peoples opinion considering there was a months work in it, regardless to whether it was ment as a serious attempt or not
Like everyone has said take a deep breath and take some time out, you'll feel a lot better for it :) |

I said my peace in the beta forums on this issue. I just wanted to make sure I said a goodbye here also. Best of luck to you and your family, where ever life takes you.
As one of the only people to put me on their buddy list here, I thought that meant something :D, some kind of obligation, like a pinky promise or something hehehe

Augusto !
I just came home from a 24 hours away at my aunts house to hear that
you want to leave this forum.
That makes me very sad !:(
I think we should stay here together through all these hard times that are
coming. I think with some of the plugins to come we will have some
pretty interesting options including Vray 4Ts ........
It must be pretty hard for caligari too at this point and they didnt do that easily.
So why dont you stay and come here from time to time to say hello
like I do it although i use other software too very much nowadays....
I have always loved your presence here and would regret to not have it
any more !

Blimey, you go away for a few days and the regulars start to leave. I do not know what has caused this Prodigy but, to me, you are a stalwart of the Caligari Forums and I can't imagine it without you around here.
But (and a big but) I have not been around here much lately and I left the Beta team about the same time you joined for similar reasons. If you PM me I will tell you the irony here if you can't work it out for yourself so I know how easy it is to get burnt out.
To be honest, it was the best thing I did. I got a lot of good work done, pursued a few dreams and got Buddy World up and running which would have been impossible had I remained.
You will be missed but not by me as I intend to keep in touch with you regularly....;)
Keep well mate, you have been a good friend and there is no need to be on a forum or team for that to continue.

Very sorry to hear this Augusto. I'm not joking when I say that your input to the forums and fantastic use of vray is one of the reasons I hung around here and have continued to use tS for the past couple of years... you are an inspiration and you will be missed.

I just wanted to say I was quite shocked to read your news and that I hope that your “break” will just be that and that you will be partaking in the forums again real soon. I for one, have found all your work to be really inspirational. It has shown me just what truespace is capable of when placed in the right hands. I have long hoped, that by applying the same amount of dedication, then one day I too will be able to produce work of a similar standard. It will be a sad loss to both me and the community if the source of such inspiring work is lost.:(

I don't quite know the full deal here, I saw no words "poisonous", your thoughts or words weren't unjustified so I fail to see why that would be said. And considering your work effort on V-ray it's pretty understandable.

To be honest, this saddens me more than the loss of Vray. I know I've mostly been lurking for the past several months, but I will add my voice to the others when I say that you've always been a major boon to the community, Prodigy, and never a detraction. I hope your break is a short one, but take as much time as you need to feel good about coming back. |

Augusto will return after a break. He is still using trueSpace and working hard at moment so some time away will do him some good. But it is not permanent :) |

What if he gets run over by a truck? Or eaten by a bear? They still have pigmy's in the Amazon delta, what if some capture him and eat him... sounds to me like you are completely ignoring the fact that it is a dangerous world out there, many terrible and horrible things are waiting to happen to each and everyone of us :D oh myyyy!!

We should all make TS pictures of where Prodigy is now as a welcome back for whenever. Maybe he is sleeping in hammock, or eating junk food and watching TV, or stranded on a island, or lost in the jungle, ... |
