What's a glock? The lighting could use to be a bit brighter for viewing too.

9mm pistol to be a bit more precise.

modeling looks good, the pictures look a tad small though.. can you render to jpeg format from Gamespace?

Nice work. Of course would I say anything else to a Marine using hollow tips.....;)

Shell casings do not look right to me. (is that ok to say Dave?) Is that really their color?

Nice modeling work too. You might need to clean up the grip, did you use boolean subtraction there?

Keep em comin

The brand of casing I am using in the picture is the 9mm Luger round hollowpoint. I know I need to work on the grip and the lower receiver texturing. Still using Gamespace so I am limited with how detailed I can get without it crashing. Thanks for the comments.

Hi usmarine22,

That's good modelling for a first try. Have you considered making it a working model?? I'm not being ridiculous here. Check out the two .gif animations at this link http://www.m1911.org/full_1911desc.htm (http://www.m1911.org/full_1911desc.htm) ('bout half way down the page) for what I mean. Its mesmerising.

Also, I'm sure you've got your own visual reference (the real McCoy perhaps!) but you may want to pull some textures off these images (click to enlarge) http://www.a-human-right.com/glocks.html (http://www.a-human-right.com/glocks.html)

Additionally; even though the Glock is a completely black pistol, these pics are well lit to give give a wider tonal range and reveal all the knobbly detail. Hth.

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. And my reference was the "real macoy"...lol. I still have some touch ups to do like the grip and the texturing on the front, side, and back of grip. I could probably animate the model now if I wanted to. All the parts are seperate, I would just have to create an empty casing for when it ejects. I am using gamespace so I am still sort of limited with a lot of rendering options. Thanks again.

very cool last image there, and nicely detailed gun, i reckon though the material on the gun doesnt go well with the lighting because its hard to make out all the detail you put into it

This might be better, I tweeked the lighting and moved some objects. I also blured the background.
