Hi all,

I usually make AVIs, but I have a need to make some MPGs. QUestion, what is the best way?

I render to numbered image sequences, and compile using a video app, but it doesn't do MPG, just AVI.

So I can go sequence -> AVI -> MPG I guess and just use an MPG convertor. I was wondering though if there was a way to go straight from numbered image sequence to MPG?

This is for a personal project :) So Caligari aren't looking for this recommendation, just me as an individual :)

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Tom. The only thing I could suggest would be to get a video app that allows you to: either render to image files, then export them into a single mpeg or render direct to mpeg. I have not checked lately, but I would imagine that lower cost movie-making apps that can be found at Best Buy, Compusa, and Circuit City would allow you to do this. For example, dvdit!, Pinnacle Studio, etc.

HTH!
