I'm a TS7.11 user, and I'm wondering - how much will it cost me to upgrade to TS7.5? Also, it won't be worth my while unless several annoying bugs are fixed. Such as this one: http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?p=12198#post12198
And how much will it cost others? I'm sure they'll want to know. |

It's standard Caligari policy not to release this information until the product is almost ready for launch. No pricing has yet been given, and we can't give you the final pricing as yet. We simply don't do much talking about things prior to launch - we do as much as we can, eg the Captain's Blog.
trueSpace7 owners will be notified by email as soon as such information is available of course. Sorry the news isn't more useful right at this moment!

When everyone was talking about the animation upgrade (awhile ago), a range of 3 digit numbers was thrown around. I'm sure that the price will reflect what is going into version 7.5 though. I can't see the total cost of TS7.5 w/Vray going over $900 though. As I said in other areas: I'll still be watching for the miracle with one finger on the checkbook...you never know.:)

I was under the impression that TS7.5 was promised as a free upgrade to the early adopters of TS7. I'm assuming that's still the case. |

wow, i must say im rather a little annoyed that i purchased TS7 not but a few days ago, and now it aspires that u can get 7.5 for free if u order now, these tricks are not fair to play on a boy with so little money lol, i feel a little hurt, but i supose thats how it happens |

Roman announced before TS7 came out that those who PreOrdered TS7 would get the free upgrade offer. Back then the upgrade was going to be 7.1 but later renamed to 7.5. (The one with Animation Enhancements) The people that had faith in the future product and put money were their mouth is got the deal. Sounds fair to me. (I didn't take the deal darn it).
He also later said that those who bought TS7 after the free offer could upgrade for a small amount. He never implied or said how much.
My personal feeling is that we should get some kind of price break and I'm sure we will.

Hi all,
There was an early adopter benefit of receiving tS7.5 for free and naturally this still applies - if that was the wording of the offer when you purchased, then that is indeed what you will get.
For those who do not get the upgrade included in their tS7 purchase, there will be (tomorrow) a chance to pay for the upgrade now and save money on the final cost on its release.
Note that it should all add up so that if you bought tS7 on a special offer that did not have tS7.5 included in that pricing, then paying for tS7.5 now on the upcoming special will work out the same as if you had waited and bought tS7 under this SIGGRAPH special. That way no-one loses out.

The SIGGRAPH special from the Caligari home page ... tS 7.11 (incl. 7.5) $495 (new, non-upgrade price, without VRay, I gather).

Let's see.... the only special pricing I have seen for ts 7.0, special pricing, without any upgrade to 7.5 has always been, $495. The 7.0 pricing for the Siggraph special is, $495, plus 7.5 is free when it comes out. So that means,
the upgrade price to 7.5 is,

This must be new math my kids always talk about: The regular price of TS7 is $595.00

Update:11.45am EST I called Caligari to get the upgrade price and they (sales) don't have the pricing yet. They said the second they get it, the prices will also be emailed to all their existing customers. |
