Hi everyone. I cannot seem to find the tripanel in either 6.6 or 7.1. Has it been removed? I am interested in using scanned images as templates for drawing curves, and the tripanel would be a nice thing to use. Currently I am using a plane with the background image painted onto it.

Thanks,

Frootee

Frootie..it surely is in 6.6 [can't check 7 at the moment, rendering]..it only appears when you have certain nurbs objects {like extrude? the icon in main toolbar when you create two curves} ..hth

Not sure about this but if you use draw panel, draw a shape then hit the nurb cross section button that appears, you get a triple panel...

TBH, I think the best way is pretty much what you're already doing, except put the planes on a different layer & then lock that layer. That way you don't have to worry about accidentally selecting or moving them. It's been a while since I tried using the ability to put an image on the draw panel, but IIRC it doesn't come out as clear as if you put it on a plane, which is why I don't use that method anymore.
