I am stumped on this one. I have a light, far in the distance that has a post-processing glow/light rays on it. As the animation continue through, object come in front of the light, and yet, the light rays go right through the object as if it were not there at all. This of course ruins the effect. Is there a way around this? I do understand that post-processing is after, but wouldn't it consider if there was an object in front of the light? Is there another way of doing it? using ts 6.5

Ensure that shadow casting is enabled for the light. Most lights have shadow casting off by default, eg point / omni lights.

Also be sure that the object itself casts shadows, again the glow will show through even if the light is set to cast shadows.

HTH!

Thanks, but what I did is performed a multi-pass sweep render of the scene. I greenscreened the stuff I wanted to stay in front and that seemed to work.

Lol! It's a bit more complicated than turning on shadows, isn't it?
