Can anyone point me to a model of a bike chain? Or at least a tutorial on how to make one that uses bones so that all of the pieces are joined together sensibly.

Thanks

I made a chain for my motorcycle a while back pretty much the same way, used 4 arrays. I can tell you that when you create your first link try and keep an eye on the number of poly's as you may end up with 100 or so copies.

Yeah, I don't want my model to render like a slug too early in the development, otherwise it'll take quite some time to finish.

I have a sneaky feeling I might actually have to take a look at the tS manual for this one.

Hemulin..here is the example scene [shown in the old post] putting a chain on a sprocket using arrays..two of the arrays are still active, just right click the radial or grid array tools to get the active settings panels...:D

That's brilliant Stan thanks, and you've also shown me a new feature of tS :D
