I am needing a computer model of a circuit board, it doesn't have to be fancy, only for a quick shot. Does anyone know of a place I can grab a free model like that? 3dCafe free stuff is offline for now...

Sorry, don't have one, but you should be able to create one pretty quick.


This is a method I've used a couple of times...but not for an entire MB:

If you don't have a photo of the circuitboard you need, just look for one with Google's image search.

Use that as a planar mapped texture for a properly dimensioned cube, and with that as a referense, create a couple of cubes matching the size of the major components, boolean everything into one object.

Might need to reapply mapping and texture.


This of course assumes that you have tS or similar :o
