Does any one other than me feel that the "special" avatars on the aw path
are a little.... one sided? There is Father Christmas (male), an stupid
upside down one (male), a really pathetic flat headed weirdo(male), the PK
(male, but not a bad av) and the blimp, which is so mmmm well lets face it,
its gotta be male.

What i would like to enquire about is WHY take the female PK av off? Is it
only males that are allowed to have special avs in AW or worlds that use the
AW path?

The blimp, well whatever ..... but surely the two stupid avs ( the upside
down one and the weirdo) could be replaced with female avatars? and not
something wierd?

Ideally i would think the female PK and one other "cute but fun" one (
maybe a female pixie or elf? ) would even out the choices for all

whatcha reckon?

My question is why do they only have 5 special avs? Can't they just add more special
avs to choose from, instead of having to kill off other ones?

kelle, there are more female avs on ANY avatar list in every world. If anyone is
being discriminated against it's the men. Special avs are exactly what they are,
special. Doesn't necessarily mean I would want to wear it either, lol

Special avs aren't necessarily male or female they are just avs that aren't
something you would normally wear, they are special. I guess you now want a Mrs.
Claus and a weirdette instead of a weirdo maybe? And a female PK av whatever
that is, lol I know Alpha World doesn't have all those avs you mentioned or do
any of the other AW owned worlds. But I still feel they are pretty fair about
what avs we have to choose from. Sure there could be more like in some worlds
but if you want a better path than the one AW has setup, then go and make your
own and get a world like the rest of us do, lol I think that's what AW will tell
ya too ;)

She was calling you a male chauvinistic pig because you believe women aren't
being discriminated because they have more regular avs that are female,
which has no relevence to the fact that there are no special avatars for
females to use if they have to use it (not whether they want to). :)

Special avs aren't there because they are unique in physical characteristics
and being nonhuman, although all the current ones are, or else Birde and
possible Bike would be "special".

She's especially pissed that they took down the female PK avatar without any
reason she knows of in the special avatars list when there are female
employees and citizens who have the choice or even have to choose a special
avatar.

I kinda feel bad too that there isn't anything there to work with for the
ladies. The girl avatars always turn out better and VERY good-looking (hey,
you don't see them making a Harolda or Bessie, Butch's wife, avatar), excuse
my teenage ways, and we can use at least 1/5th female representation in the
Alphaworld special avatars list. :)

If 3d programs catered to women, there wouldn't even be a server that could
hold all the shoes you want. Sorry, I couldn't resist but I have spent
previous encounters in worlds.com program with women who wanted to look
unique from everyone else ("well, she took MY dress and matched it with MY
shoes"). I guess that is what you would get when allow people to edit their
avatar as easily as worlds.com.

Nornny, she never said anything about any avs being removed in her post, I
haven't been on a world AW owns that has a special avatar list, I don't see it
on Alpha World that's for sure. Why would anyone really need a PK av to use on a
private world anyway, those avs should be for AW owned worlds only to begin
with.

If they did have a female PK av that was there and took it off then it should be
put back.
If I were her I would have just asked AW and wait for their response first, I
was on mars once and they had textures not load and I reported it to jupytr and
she talked to the higher ups and got it fixed.
If after you do all that then I would think of saying something like that in the
NG if nothing was done about it.

And I am sorry you feel the way you do about ppl using the aw path, as I
have had several complaints from teachers in AWSchool, ( where we have no
choice but to use the aw path) I will pass your remark on to them and to
AWld when I mail them about my request for at least one female avatar

their avatar noticeable, a privilege that teachers and PKs and gate keepers
and world owners use because they are in positions that require extra
attention from the ppl around them. I will not go into whether you feel they

logged on. I may not have *said* that the av was removed, but I assumed
anyone that didnt know, would not remark on the subject unless they did
know what they where talking about. Yes, you can accuse me of being
bigoted towards newbies if you like. The fact that i have put 3 years into
teaching newbies will discredit that.

only assume that was the cause, I had substantial problems with both my ISP
and aw at the same time

All AWCOM worlds and other worlds come with a special avatars list, but it's
not seen by a regular user. A peacekeeper or gatekeeper will be able to see
5 extra avatars at the bottom of their avatars list, Special 1-5, which they
can use.

Those avs SHOULD be for AW owned world, which is why kellee is wanting the
female pk avs back. Private worlds can change their special avatars to
whatever they want, but only AWCOM can change Alphaworld's. :)

Ok, you didn't type that, someone else did. None of these messages are
recorded to look at at. We can make up whatever attack we want on someone
