[NG Survivor] Diary 1 - The Start of Stupidity (Community)
[NG Survivor] Diary 1 - The Start of Stupidity // CommunitynornnyMay 15, 2001, 8:56pm
--Nornny's Entry--
The first days... Well, before the Survivors can even settle into their new tribe camp, they are reminded within a day's time of the harsh land they preside in. Thanks to n a y r, an annoying newbie who has entered this range with horrible timing, the contestants are bombarded with shameless plugs and HTML posts. Life isn't so easy now, is it?? hmm? Lucky for me, I've just saved myself $100s of dollars in bribing people to do the same thing. ;0 However, stupidity can be said for our Survivors also. In the midst of their anxiety, the Typo tribe has arranged AW meetings to discuss strategy and to build shelters. Why they couldn't just email is beyond me. Plus, this IS newsgroup Survivor. You don't build goddarn AW shelters, it has nothing to do with the newsgroup! Oh well, their loss, lucky for me, I've placed myself in the Factor tribe (not FactEr, although named after him). I can say that these contestants have redeemed themselves a little. Already, hidden strategic alliances have started. Nice to know that this newsgroup plans ahead. Private meetings are taking place in AW from almost everybody in the game. Too bad Casay and Wing can't get their email to work, and that Bit seems to like betraying her fellow Factor members. Personally, I've already got a strategic alliance with a member or two, but keep that on the downlow... And what the heck happened to the OTHER half of our players?? Dead, most likely, those newbies and eeps are ravages, I tell ya. Among the missing (which I really don't care to find in this harsh terrain) are s p a r k, leaf, and KAH. Even SW Chris is gone, although he seems to have made a good impression on the group before getting here. Personally, I think he's hiding in the bushes somewhere. Well, the first challenge begins tommorow. It will decide the first immunity from FRIDAY'S vote. Immunity means that ONE tribe will remain with its full 8 members until next week. The other tribe will vote off one of its tribe members. By Saturday night, the final ballots will be cast and the voted off will be asked to leave the newsgroup immediately (only temporarily though. hehe). What is the first challenge? 8 questions will be listed, the answers in which I don't even know (trust me, I don't, they came from this Q and A site, and I've yet to see the answer page. ;) ) Anyways, each Survivor or member of the community will be able to answer ONE question. If they're smart, they'll work together, as anyone who ansers a question that is already answered will not only NOT get the point, but also NOT get another chance to answer a different question. The tribe with the most answered questions will win. Ah, but yet another twist. The rest of the newsgroup. Yes, they'll be able to answer too. But, rather than putting down their name, they will put down a member of a tribe that they would like to answer the question. If they like a member, they'll answer it correctly. If they don't, they'll throw that tribe member's answer, leaving the member WITHOUT another chance to answer the question. How cruel, eh? Anyways, I need to swat some newbies. Nornny signing off... --end-- PRODUCTION NOTE: Anyone can write a diary entry, but email it to me first at nornny1 at home.com so I can post it on the site. :)) syntaxMay 17, 2001, 12:44am

I have just had the weirdest encounter! I was gathering twigs and I seen this small child in the brush. I walked over and there was S p a r K! I asked him what he was doing but his reply was only a series of mumbles. I shook him a few times and he regained his senses. It seems he has been hiding in those shrubs since all the SPAM started flowing through the NGs. I helped him off the ground and informed him that the Survivor challenge has started. Poor guy, already getting his arse whooped by the elements. I hate to see what happens to him as the days pass. Anyways, I helped him up and sent him on his way to the Typo camp. I am sure they will be glad to see him...if he even makes it back. A hungry eepy could easily spot that bright red and blue outfit wandering through the land and charbroil him. Anyways, I hope he makes it back for Tribal Council on Friday night so he can get to know his tribe-mates and maybe develop some sort of game plan before it is too late since Factor will win immunity. ;-P Speaking of the Factor tribe, I have already seen a few people in my tribe talking behind my back. Should I be scared? Of course, you never know what could happen here. But, hopefully immunity comes our way so I don't need to trek to Tribal Council atop the community NG and vote one of my tribe-mates out. Well, I better get some rest. Since I am sleeping near BirdMike's shelter, it should be simple to fall asleep. hehe See ya! --End-- alphabit phalphaMay 17, 2001, 1:32am
Ok...so I was like out foraging....NOT in the woods...but thru Macy's Sunday
Mother's Day Sale...and lo and behold...here was this woman...who thinking she would beat me to the swimsuit racks....and not realizing she was after the size 20's and me after the size 12's....thought she would get ANYTHING I was wanting to buy....kind of a psychological..."I'll buy what she wants" type thingy...but ...I wouldn't let her win...she irked me and made me want to win that all illustrious "best purchase" of the century achievement! Well...she was reluctant to give way...and did she ever weigh!...So I ......"using my sweet charms and smiles" offered to buy her a mocha java milkshake....(knowing one of her weaknesses was chocolate!) She asked that I buy her a large pineapple/anchovies/olive/potatoes chip/cheese/ham and sausage pizza. Well...for the sake of that little piece of cloth I ordered her the delicacies and then scurried to the rack.....quickly snatched the garb and with my platinum key to heaven...walked out of Macy's.......a winner:) |
