I agree with holistic, it just looks like a fancy web browser. AWCI is only
3-4 years behind mainstream games now anyway. Give us T&L and physics and a few more object manipulation controls (carrying, sequential commands like "move here, rotate this far, move there, change color, turn around, move back over there") and mappable controls and all will be good. Oh yeah, X and Z axis static rotation too. -- Wing This little spot is dedicated to my girl, Jessie. She paints her nails, and she dont know, he's got her best friend on the phone, She'll wash her hair, his dirty clothes, for all he gives to her. And he's got posters on the wall Of all the girls he wish she was, and he means everything to her. Her boyfriend, he dont know, Anything, about her... She's just the flavor of the week. Its a very good. Im a beta tester for them, and i dont see a point to their
program. It has very good graphics, and is on par with AW for that. But their program is very bulky, and theres no way to build other than with 2 models, and 1 command for a URL... ~Joeman [View Quote] eepFeb 18, 2001, 3:16am
Vios claims to have building too, which is hardly a web browser. At any rate, it's STILL competition for AW...

Yes, far more competition than the dozen 3d chat/building programs that AW
users are vainly attempting to develop at any given time. -- Wing This little spot is dedicated to my girl, Jessie. *shrug* Utopian Monarch (now known as Programmer) has tried one before, and
now he's asking me for suggestions again for a new one. I've heard rumors of a few others too. -- Wing This little spot is dedicated to my girl, Jessie. ig0r said he was working on one also. He said it is going to be released by
2002 or 2003 or something. Don't hold your breath though. -- Syntax syntax at earthcorp.com www.swcity.net [View Quote] myrthFeb 19, 2001, 4:20pm

Which, IMHO, is actually good - competition is healthy - it shows that there
is actually a *need* out there for 3D interactive worlds. Run, Facter, Run The opinions expressed here are the opinions of "facter", and do not represent those of Activeworlds.com > [View Quote] |
