Ok, I don't know how many of you would agree with me, or how many will.
But it seems to me that some of the AW Staff & Community has some evolving
and.or growing up to do... And no, I'm not saying that everyone is a bad
person, but people like TrekkerX needs to go to some type of seminar or
counseling for the Socially Inept, because Ignorance and Hate towards
someone because of the way he or she is UNACCEPTABLE in any shape, form, or
fashion.
For that person, the one about the GK ejecting him for being gay, you
DON'T have to ask if you aloud to be there because your gay, because in
America that's called discrimination. And, if ActiveWorlds, Inc says other
wise, sue them. If a GK says otherwise, you are still entitled to sue AW,
Inc. because they are part of the AW, Inc. staff, volunteers or not.
Also, the PKs Peacekeepers), GKs (Gatekeepers), and other AW Staff could
do a better job of taking suggestions and being a little more humane. I
mean, just look at this news group. *Sigh*

And, I know that Active World, Inc. can't really do anything for the
blatant ignorance of some people, BUT they can solve the problem with in
their own staff. It should work like this
1st offence, warning.
2nd offence, send the staff member to a seminar on being more socially
acceptable (or something for their behavior)
3rd offence, face an unbiased group of people within the community,
Users & Staff members to decide if the accused should stay or leave.
4th offence, granted they are still a staff member, they are g-o-n-e.
No, if-ands-or but's.

But, before they are marked with having an offence, they should have a
"trial" to determine if they are guilty or not.

On a finial note some, PKs, GKs, and Staff Members need to brush up on
their social skills and stop being so rude. Granted, there are mostly great
GK's and PKs, but the ones who are not need to be dealt with. Plain &
Simple.
(hope I didn't leave anything out.... =P )

Err...I'm not sure you read my last post ???

I'm certainly taking an active part in these newsgroups now - stumbling at
first I admit, but trying and taking part all the same.

I suggest you read my last post - trust me, this issue has already made the
rounds and is being looked into by various members of staff here -
discrimination of *any* kind will never be tolerated, and also states such
in our charter and world rules.

If any on of the GK volunteers are ever found to be in error in this kind of
a circumstance, then I doa ssure everyone that steps will be taken - but,a s
I said before, it seems there is some ambiguity in the information. I dont
know, I'm not investigating it - I'm just telling you that it is being done.

We do try to make sure that things like this dont happens you know =P

This situation has been resolved.

After comparison of various different logs, it was found that some logs in
certain instances had been altered, and certain things taken out of context.

Whether someone is black, white, gay, straight or have tentacles growing out
of their nostrils, they are all welcome in AW, end of story.
