I would like to protest the fact that Broadway world has stolen brick by

brick the build of the world New York.
Not to mention the support that Broadway is getting.
New York was made and now due to a difference the two who made it split
and
the owner of Broadway has taken without consent or permission the whole
world of New York, made the same world and called it Broadway.

As an owner of two worlds I am sickened by this. It wasnt a simple
copying
of themes. It is a blatant rip off.
This should be dealt with immediatly with awcom intervention into this
matter.

I am so stupified by this matter i am writing from work even.

World owners are pulling together as we speak to create a website and
petition to hopefully shut down Braodway.

Please step in and help to clarify this issue

There is a wepage of full details being processed at this time. But as
world owners and users we must get together to ensure that this type of
occurence isnt a frequent one.

Go see New York world built almost more than a year ago now, and then
see Braodway!
To think that this can happen endangers the uniqueness of all worlds.

Well here it is. Its disgusting that this has happened, please go see this
page and use this newsgroup as a forum to discuss this issue.
There are 6 pictures on the webpag of decent size as to see the calrity of
the obj theft.

Well, I don't know what's going on between you two, but I talked to Just
In prior to this and his view was that he made the objects, so he can
use them however he sees fit. Frankly, I think this whole thing could
have been handled differently, but he does have a point. He made every
single object and texture and they're his to do with as he sees fit. If
he wants to make another world with them, there's not much you can do
about it.

As for vandalizing NewYork's OP, I can't fathom Just In would sink so
low. If that's truly the case, (which I intend to discern after proper
investigation) then as far as I'm concerned, Just In can join the ranks
of Rick and JP as the scum of AW.

To be honest, this has nothing to do with me, I am appaled at the fact it took
place.
Sure he made the obj, but using them as he sees fit, is it right to completely
replicate what was in there?
Thats like Les Paul the guitar inventor made the guitar, therefore he has the
right to recreate and own everything made form it? All songs and written
material?

The web page criticising me has too many errors, and I prefer to ignore such
attacks.

I didn't vandelise anything, I sought to protect my own works.

There was never any agreement that I was "giving" my work to anyone. When I
give something away, or sell it, I put that in writing (as I did with the
Alpha World objects I made).

The NewYork world owner and I had a fight over a petty issue that got
inflamed into something horrible. I apologised for that, and tried for
months to fix it - obviously my negotiating skills leave a lot to be
desired. I have many failings and for that I am sorry.

When I saw all was lost in the friendship with the NewYork world owner I
went and got a new world with some of my friends so that I could finish the
project I set out to achieve, using my own objects, my own textures, my own
pictures, and my own building. VR Times Square was and is built solely and
wholey by myself with the sweat of my own brow and by no other person. Any
duplication of that work can only be done with my approval and endorsement,
and by giving me due credit for the work. If someone goes against this,
well, too bad *sniff*, going to court to defend my "rights" is just too
much drama and too expensive. I would only consider doing that if I stood
to lose money, and that is not the case. Furthermore, once I've made a
friend I always do my best to keep that friendship and never do anything to
upset that. Sometimes, that just isn't possible.

I'm not in the least surprised that the NewYork world owner is angry at what
has eventuated. I asked her many times to come resolve things with me to
avoid it. And even when it reached the point where I decided to forge ahead
in a world I shared ownership of - I offered her the opportunity to join the
team at no cost or loss to her, and with everything to gain. I'm very sorry
we couldn't work together.

I invite you all to come join us in Broadway... a great world that
combines the talents of some very special and talented people. The world is
now open to public building and I would be honoured if you came to build,
or just to hang out with friends and catch some sites.

As time goes on we will be adding even more special features, not to mention
landmarks that many are all familiar with. And this year's new years event
will be boosted with even more dazzling effects than last year, along with
many hosts to ensure everyone has a great time!

Wow, so to re iterate, this person has just said, I admit it, I dont care, and
too damn bad.
Gee hope everyone wants to visit this world and help this chump out.Maybe
everyone will "employ" his work and be ripped off too?

This person throws the term "Verbal agreement" out the window.

Is so many words, all this is like saying, Les Paul invented a guitar, so he has
rights to take (steal) everything ever made from it since.All music and

Fact is dood it was NOT your idea nor initiative you were HELPING the
world owner and tools were given to you to do that... Those objects were
created for that world and no other.... you can claim ownership of them but
not use them in another world(without the world owners permission).... if
world owner rights are not upheld here then why the hell would anyone want
to invest time and money in a world only to have someone help them and rip
it off..... come on dood get a life and some original ideas huh?

DIRECT THREATS to an owner is not negotiating, it is THREAT and going out
and DESTROYING an object path, which you DID do is not protecting your
works, it is vandalizm! You admitted that to my face and tried to get me to
go spy and see the damage you had done! You don't go to court because you
don't have a leg to stand on. You criticised and threatened when another
didn't want to put more money into a larger world, yet you are now a
partner? Gee financially? Noooo.. Just In you have not paid a dime toward
Broadway, just got people to buy it for you without EVER telling them up
front what mess and chaos you just left behind, and now at least one of
those "partners" is pretty upset and called for you to close world. The
webpage criticises you where it should and it is based on total fact which
you know I can back up completely. It is a shame you can do this to others
in here without regard to them, you may be a talented creator..that is very
true but you are a terrible personality. And you should have treated PA with
more respect. She took you in and allowed you to build there when NOBODY
else could work with you. Then the final slap of going to PKS and
threatening her with harrassment if she would NOT give you TOTAL SUPPORT in
Broadway. Do you really think along these lines as the way to treat people

Ummm. You took and paid for those trips to NY??? The theme for that world
was yours? You put money into buying that world? You created those models
for USE in NY world. There is where those objects should stay. As stated
already, you need to use your own original ideas for your new world. This is
a tragedy. :(

I would like to mention here that since we implimented rules into the Cy
Awards, this accusation will be investigated prior to the June/July
Nominations for the September Ceremony voting process.

I hate how you twist words around and such, zero. Look, he DID admit, he
doesn't care, and it IS too damn bad. :) He made the objects, textures,
everything, had a share of NewYork, and even built a lot of it, I believe.
:) *it's my birthday, so I'm speed reading through everything so I can go
out :P* Many people have employed Just In's work and they seemed to have no
problem. If there was such things as verbal agreements, we wouldn't need a
courthouse. Face it, unless you contractually both agree on something, both
parties can do whatever they want with what they have (or think they have).
Just In created HIS objects, so therefore, he can use them to recreate a
world that he pretty much created anyways, but just didn't fully own it. I
mean, it's like saying you spend hundreds of hours inventing the guitar for
the good of mankind, but YOU can't use it yourself. :P And yes, if Les Paul
invented and patented the guitar, any royalties or music created by the
guitar give partial property rights to Les Paul. Apparently also (i think,
I'm not sure, again, I read through it fast), no recognition of Just In was
in New York either, so that's what you get. :)

Frankly though Just In, you have WAY too much creative genius inside of you
to copy your own work over again, why not just create your ideal of the real
NYC or another section of it (it IS a big town) and shut zero up? ;) You're
not one to let pride stand in the way anywho.

He's right. Zero is NOT a direct source of information, nor an unbiased =
one for that matter. If there's anyone who should be talking about this, =
it should be Just In and FriendPA (is that her name? I don't really know =
who is the other person involved, frankly). Yes, the AW community is =
kind at heart and will defend their net friends til they die, but =

I agree with you Posh. I don't know half as much as you do on the =

I sent my reply to you and to Just In. The distortion comment was directed
at him. I have to disagree with your opinion Nornny, not saying that I
don't respect it :) everyone is entitled as am I. I feel strong about this
because of the type of standard this behavior could establish if it is
allowed to go on without being recognized. and not to worry Nornny, she has
a friend and supporter not a radical for she can fight her own battle as you
will hear I am sure :) And my opinions were never biased against Just In
until I saw with my own eyes how devious he can be.. so I assure you it is
true.. not misleading Like I said before I do know about this subject
extensively.. and I feel I am not fighting "for" just PA, but rather for
owners who do not want this type of behavior to happen in our worlds, and

Ok,

I am going to give my opinion on this whole mess. It is just my opinion, I
have no first hand knowledge about all this, but as one of those world
owners that you are all fighting for, so worlds aren't stolen in the future,
I figure I have a small right to express my opinion :) If you don't like it
just disregard it.

I feel that if it were a situation where a total stranger came in and conned
FriendPA and ended up with her objects and went out and started a duplicate
world, then YES you would all have something to fight about. That would be
totally wrong and illegal. And I would be the first one to jump on band
wagon and fight right along with the rest of you on this subject.

BUT !!!

As far as I can tell, in this case it's a matter of a partnership gone sour.
The two partners have issues to work out. Much like a marriage gone sour
with a nasty divorce.

Just in has some valid points, and I'm sure FriendPa has just as valid
points even though we haven't heard from her here on this subject.

In my opinion this is something best left to Just in and FriendPa to work
out and maybe AWcom. It, in my opinion isn't something that every one and
their cousin needs to jump into, taking sides and starting wars over. If
left alone, I'm sure it would all get worked out. We are talking about two
adults and a break up here, not a stranger coming in and taking over.

I'm hoping that the reason FriendPa hasn't posted here yet is because she
also sees it that way, but who knows. I do know if it were me, I would be
totally embarrassed to have this going on in the NGs. It would be like
airing my dirty laundry here.

Well that's it. Take it or leave it, that's how I feel about it.

I want to reply more to this, but it's not good for the thread or the
newsgroup. :) So, for the moment, my opinions stop at this post on the
subject (doesn't mean I might not post some more to this thread, but not for
opinion reasons). Posh, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I leave
with my last cents. :P

I can't say that I've seen Just In's devious side or even really believe in
it, but that's just through my experiences. FriendPA, also, I've heard a lot
from, and all good. Both are adults, and both are NICE adults, so all it
takes is time before this gets resolved, I think. :) Posh, the only reason
why I think you're biased is that your only argument is some logs that
you've never presented to us, but rather enticed us into believing what you
have is true. The main argument you present is distortion and mastery of
deception, but you've never accounted how you've gotten to it. Since this
spectacle is already a public issue (not neccarily this case, but world
rights in general) where everyone is begining to chime in opinions, why not
let us have all the facts you have, and let us interpret it for what it is
before leaping to conclusions? ;) I mean, imagine all the time and length we
save. *looks at ever increasing posts* Never mind, we're half way to
stretching the Atlantic Ocean at this point...

Btw, just food for thought, but has anyone ever looked up the world contract
or agreement (if there is one) on what AWCOM has to say on this? :) I don't
think copying a theme is wrong in AW standards as you'll run out of original
ideas eventually, but what about copying in detail? If it IS mentioned,
please post. :P

I think your all missing the point here.... sure they ARE his objects but
look at it from the world owner standpoint....ONE ....I believe it is
plagiarism for one to "duplicate " a world that is already
built.....TWO...if the structures were originally built for one world they
should not be copied to another without permission from the world owner. In
this case we are talking about PRIVATE build worlds.....in PUBLIC build
worlds the structure would belong to the builder. make sense? World
owners need to have these rights...or else why would world owners want to
have ANYONE help them if they could potentially do what JustIn is doing..?
