Anybody out there using cable net and has setup there own ftp wanting
to setup my own for my own personal world...any ideas on the subject is
appreciated..

try using the G6 FTP server, reasonable price, and VERY good product

http://httpd.apache.org - kind of hard to configure (DOS Console)
http://www.xitami.com - recommended for newbies/intermediate. (GUI)
