Regarding GK's // General Discussionalphabit phalphaDec 17, 2003, 2:13am
To those who find the need to protest at the Gate;
1. You will accomplish nothing. 2. You complain that some GK's are driving away business, yet you turn the Gate into a negative experience for the newbies? How does your behavior help the situation? (Rhetorical question btw:) In the past the Cys have been a target for negative comments when guests arrive, and our recourse has always been that "If ANYONE is making others uncomfortable, or if ANYONE is bashing the Cys during the event", then they are eject on site recipients:) If you were standing outside a store voicing protests with signs or comments of an establishment, then that is "freedom of speech". If you are INSIDE that establishment then I would consider that blatant harrassment of the establishment and it's guests/customers. To me, that is the fine line between freedom of speech and harrassment. Just my 4 cents worth:) poseidonDec 17, 2003, 2:29am

Violence and aggression are what get the most attention and cause the most willingness for change. -- --Bowen-- http://bowen.homelinux.com Give me ideajuice. sweDec 17, 2003, 12:42pm

Ya know what really gets my knickers in a knot? The morons who sit in The
Gate are ARGUE with the protesters!!! All they are doing is drawing more attention to the protesters, fanning the *flames* (as it were) thus giving them even more "air time". Exercise the *mute* option more, and things will be much better in The Gate. *opens the ancient AW Conduct Guide Book... and reads... "And lo... on the 2nd day Protagonist created *Mute* and it was Good ... so sayeth the programmers... and there was much rejoicing by the Gate people. And the chat did flow in plenty. And for the GKs - And on the third day Protagonist created 'smite' ... but the marketing weenies thought better of it and renamed it *EJECT* I'll see your 4 cents worth, Bit, and raise you a quarter. : ) Tart Sugar A little tart sugar will put a permanent pucker on yer kisser.
