Even people that haven't been having problems with over-censorship at
the gate.

Chat at AlphaWorld GZ. When you see AWGate top of the list, override it
in your mind. If there is nobody there, invite your friends in the gate
to AlphaWorld GZ.

AWGate is turning into a nursery school. We can't protest against the
problem (many of you probably don't even think there is a problem) but
we can avoid it. It is within our power to make AlphaWorld GZ the top
place for chat again!

If you are having problems, and have protests, take them straight to AWI ...
why harrass GKs when they are just doing what they are told to do ... they
don't make the rules, AWI does.

I see AWGate as a welcome place for new users, and I believe that is what it
is indeed intended for. If you can't control yourself from harassing
Gatekeepers and saying 'naughty' things, go somewhere else. I know there are
people who are gate regulars, they're fine there.

Why people need to go in, cause havoc, and go on to complain they were
mistreated is beyond me.

Posting a picture link for a GK because they don't belive an AW Employee is
there and then getting ejected is not havoc.. is it?

Without use of bad language my friend was ejected from the gate for saying
aw was too expensive. I was ejected for complaining of his ejection. Also
without use of any bad language or 'trouble making'. Legitimate questions of
the rules of the Gate (which is what GK are supposed to do - answer our
questions about how AW works). When we came back and again complained, we
were 'attacked' by approx 4 undercover offduty GK (as we all know is now a
GK room not a chat room - too many chiefs and not enough indians LMAO). Then
we were told by the on duty GK that is we had a complaint to write to AW
(like that does anything) then we were both ejected again.
Raising havoc? I think not. I call it standing up for rights and stating
immediately to the person I have trouble with my feelings on my being
mistreated. Maybe an old hippie but I do feel we have the right anywhere to
state our opinions - within the guidelines of course *grins

In actual fact he said that aw was a rip off because of price. He was
whispered to by De De Cyber Mom to not cause trouble. His response was in
open chat asking her not to whisper to him, to speak out loud. Correct,
polite. For this he was ejected. Not so much his saying aw was too expensive
as the fact that he asked her not to whisper and she took offense and
ejected. Where is that in the guidelines that asking a GK not to whisper is
ejectable.It was his right NOT to be whispered.
Yes we need some rules but should they be able to make them up and use their
power abusively because their 'feelings' got hurt?

Actually Rossyboy.. you have the right idea with what you're
saying here.

AW is a business, and they are trying to be a place where people
with many different levels of tolerance for language and discussion
topics can hang out.

It only makes sense to rank those tolerance levels from least
tolerant to most tolerant, and to have the people who have not
chosen yet's first experience be the least 'risky' place.

People who can tolerate foul language or sensitive discussion
topics can certainly also tolerate the lack of foul language or
sensitive topics, so there shouldn't be a problem if they enter
and don't see a lot of swearing or rude behaviour. You know
as well as I do that they won't have to look far to find it.

But you can't bring people who might be offended by that kind
of thing in to a place where it will be happening and then tell
them to go somewhere else. It just won't work.

So what you are saying is the most sensible thing to do, and
if you are the new leader at vwtv, then I don't think you'll
have too tough a time turning it into a great VR station. You
seem to have the ability to think clearly, and you seem to be
able to see the other persons side of an issue. If you ever want
to be a journalist, then both of those abilties are vital.
