Is anyone else getting requests to keep entering your password and
username to read the newsgroups? Or is it just me?

[View Quote] Maybe Cal/whomever freaked up the server trying to protect their
precious beta posts? That's where my suspicion is placed.

If you've changed your password on your citname NGs will ask for the new
password.

Well, it displayed the message count on the first four groups
and asked for the password on the one for Beta testers.

Maybe Beta testers NG accounts are replicated with the beta
server now instead of the AW server.

Remove the beta ng from your newsreader (unsubscribe it) and it won't ask you for them again.

I had the beta NG listed as something I was subscribed to, and even when I
wasn't allowed access to that newsgroup, I was still never prompted for my
password upon checking the other NGs.. Though Ive noticed outlook isnt the
most stable thing to hit the street. In the past Ive told outlook (multiple
times) to save a specific password, yet every time I began an action for
that account I would be prompted for my password. =/ This problem never
really got fixed, though I would imagine a fresh installation of OE would
help, though maybe not. My fix was we had to get a new computer as it was so
= no more problem :) heh.
