Galaxy Servers vs Sol Servers (General Discussion)
Galaxy Servers vs Sol Servers // General Discussionstrike rapierJun 2, 2003, 11:11pm
Im just curious after I was wondering around the website, what is the
difference to Galaxy servers and Sol servers with both being single world environments, only thing I can see is Galaxy servers are absolutly huge. Is this the reason why they are seperate as I imagine, or is it just to pump up the product portfolio? - Mark Sleepy... im going to bed strike rapierJun 2, 2003, 11:12pm

Think of a Sol servers as pluto, galaxy servers as saturn, and universe
servers as 'Sol'. They do need to reword them though. -- --Bowen-- kartenJun 3, 2003, 2:31pm
Look at the SolServer as a HomePage Galaxy (without the HomePage theme
loads). Hosting by AW is included and NOT transferable to another host. On the other hand, a Galaxy you have to seek out a host and pay for the hosting seperately. That's the main difference I see anyway. Karten [View Quote] r i c h a r dJun 5, 2003, 9:59pm
Sol Servers are like normal worlds they must be renewed annually. Sol
servers get hosting as part of the deal. Galaxies are 1 time fees with out hosting, like a universe you only pay 40% of the origional price when you want a version upgrade. If you dont pay you stick on your current version for every until u pay for an upgrade. Sol servers if you dont pay your annual fee like worlds will disappear. |
