hm, they forgot some interesting ones though.

Some drugs make spiders create their webs ultra-accurate
without _any_ flaws or irreglar structures.

This makes the words "The deformity in the web is related
to the toxicity" look like plain nonsense. Those drugs
that cause extreme exact structures are not less toxic
than those that cause confuse webs.

I also thought that statement seemed a bit nonsensical.... A direct
connection of that sort without significant research seems a bit
unscientific to me.

I don't think that he did: something doesn't have to be a joke to be funny. Take Dr. Phil, for example... hmm. Perhaps that is a bad example. :-)

Awwww, I didn't for a second think it was a joke, but I found it interesting
and amusing at the same time. If a few spiders gathered and watched a bunch
of humans under the influence of the same drugs, I bet they's be laughing
their "weavers" off!! LOL!

I remember seeing pictures of spider webs spun by drugged spiders a couple
of decades ago.

I also recall being struck by the ultra accuracy of the spider webs that
were woven by spiders fed L.S.D.

Looks like we might have read the same books in our youth :-)
