What's the name of taht bot? // Botssw comitSep 26, 2000, 4:13am
Awhile back someone said they made a bot just like the Bird Bot (at the
imabot web page), but they said the bot avoids objects to make it look more realistic. I woulda payed more attention but I had to go, now I can't find where to get it! sw comitSep 30, 2000, 10:34pm
OMG! what the hell? 31 dollars for it? Crimany who would pay that? Mabey 5
bucks, that's all I'd pay max. [View Quote] jkmt presidentOct 1, 2000, 8:20am
If you do not want to pay that it is fine , Many Many others have and will
continue too. Programming is time consumming and it is not free. I am a business man and have to make a living somehow. If you do not want the bot do not buy it. The bot sells to many others including universe owners. You are missing out on what is developing to be the most interesting bot I have seen in a while with new features being added to it all the time. I am sorry you do not feel that a programmers work is not worth anything more than a few dollars. [View Quote] > OMG! what the hell? 31 dollars for it? Crimany who would pay that? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Most run on tight budgets, as RWX worlds
are a hobby. I bought the nodebot. And I am a programmer, so it is not like I could not find the time myself. I was curious as to the new approach. What is MY time worth? $25.00 an hour or so says the IRS.... So anyway, JKMT fully taught me to use it, ran the plotting for me in my world, (in another universe even, after major modifications for free) and I made a good friend to boot. And this took HOURS for them, not a few minutes. While the product is fully worth $31.00, making the new friend was worth a ton more....... I'd pay if I really wanted it, but not that much, it's more expensive that
AW itself, lol. What about Ima Genius, Faber and Xelag and Canopus's free bots, though... [View Quote] jkmt presidentOct 5, 2000, 9:47am
As I said before this time cost money. If they are offering there stuff for
free then get theres. I am not gona lower the price any :o/ It sells . I am sorry I could not help you but maybe in the future we will have something you will desire enough to pay what the programmer deserves holistic1Oct 5, 2000, 10:42am
jkmt, don't bother responding to these idiots. These are the same folks
who would use shareware and not pay for it, or, would download a program, then do find a hack for it in order not to have to pay a couple of bucks. Holistic1 [View Quote] mb commanderOct 5, 2000, 12:37pm
Hello
Time cost money for all us and JKMT and other building support for AW, that's a very small price for it. If you figure all the hours in programming it and more.... At least he spreads the cost of development out over many sales not trying to get his money back at the first buyer... If you don't like the cost you should set down and try to develop one after you try a day or two you will see and might change your mind about outside support.. Also with paid support most of them will give you updates as they find them. You in turn will have to spend more time trying to figure out where you did the error in the program spending more of your time.... I program to but sometimes cheaper to get outside support than spend the time developing... When your plate to full to do any more projects. MB Commander [View Quote] holistic1Oct 5, 2000, 2:48pm
md commander, I sure hope you just posted to the wrong thread by
accident. If not, I would suggest you reread my response to jkmt. I support the efforts that programmers make by paying for what I use. Holistic1 [View Quote] mb commanderOct 5, 2000, 5:39pm
