I had about fifty programs open, minimized aw, and now it wont come back.
:( Everytime I try to unminimize it I get that 'was unable to resize...'
error box. I first tried closing lots and lots of programs, didn't help. I
just did a restart - didn't help. What should I do? Reinstall? thanks

Hi maki:)
I'm guessing at the following;

I think if you open your ini file you can change the size stuff.
For instance....mine reads this;
main_height=769
main_width=1026
maximized=0
Save a copy of your ini file elsewhere before trying this.

Was messing around with screen resolutions - it said it would change to
software renderer instead of directx and closed, now whenever I try to open
it gets to 'Initializing 3d Graphics...' and closes. :(

Thanks bit! I think I got it - though I changed maximized= to 1 and it came
up that way, I woulda never thought of editing the ini. :)

Hmmm...maybe a fresh reinstall then...but again...save your teleport.dat and
contacts.dat elsewhere so you can put them back in.
In my ini file I have
[video]
mode=2
for software renderer mode.

I often forget all about my ini file till someone has a problem that I think
can be fixed in it:)

Hmm, still is a bit odd - It will only open maximized (even after setting
maximized back to 0) and it's not resizable. :O. At least I can get in
though. ;)

Well you could do a new install but name it something other than what you
currently have.
name it something like makitest when you save it.
Start AW and if it works ok, just move your teleports and contacts list into
the new download.

Ah joy, now it's perfect. :) Looks good, and wasn't so difficult. Good old
basic mode. Thanks for the help. :)

Saving the contacts.TXT is no longer needed. Your contacts for each citizen account are now saved on the AW server. You can log in
your account on any computer, anywhere, and you'll get your own contact list..... Save the teleports.TXT tho, as that's still local
to your computer only and will be lost if you reinstall, as will any saved telegrams in the telegram.DAT & telegram.IDX files......
you would need to save both, also........
