Is the glass half full, or half empty? (General Discussion)
Is the glass half full, or half empty? // General Discussion

In other words, are you an optimistic person, pessimistic or any other
little philosophies you can throw in there.
Its a kinda stupid topic but this is general discussion.

An optimist is a person who sees a green light everywhere, while the
pessimist sees only the red stoplight.. The truly wise person is
colorblind...:)

Heh, thats pretty good it reminds me of another one I heard a while ago.
"It isn't half full or half empty, they just make glasses twice as large as
they need to be"

The glass is a broken collection of jagged, razor-sharp shards laced with high concentrations of cyanide and arsenic. Whatever liquid it once contained has long since seeped through the many cracks and breaks in the structure of the glass. The glass now contains an infestation of various forms of insect life, most of these dead and rotting after being killed by the aforementioned poisons.
The glass is currently half full of the said dead insect bodies. The bacterial life forms that are causing the insect bodies to decay were not taken in to measurement.

I've always considered that illustration to be faulty as to my mind whether
it is half full or half empty depends on whether it has been only filled
half way or was full and emptied half way. Examination of the upper part of
the glass for lip prints, water residues or other cues might help if there
is no history in the area to determine it. Ultimately though, the really
interesting question is who's gonna finish drinking it?
I describe myself as a pessimistic optimist, which is to say, the worst
possible thing than can happen probably will but it'll all turn out for best
in the end. :-)
