I paid for personal webspace but I don't use it for Activeworlds.

No one said that. You are able to do just that if you wish, but it must be via your website and not through direct download from AW.

Yes, the hosts would have if you weren't following the terms in the agreement. In fact, the major free hosts have been preventing download of files in this way for quite a while if the referrer didn't match your account's site.


Basically, you can either find a free host that lets you use your space in the way you want, buy webhosting, or stop whining that you can't break a valid agreement.
