[Discussion] Whats the deal with newAW (General Discussion)
[Discussion] Whats the deal with newAW // General Discussion

Ive just been reading the Beta newsgroup and have been thinking, what is the real deal with newAW, granted I don't know much, but it seems that there is so many restrictions just getting in and building and having fun is near imposable without a bot whisking you into jail or something similar.
I'm afraid that what it is turning into is a full life human RPG, but don't we come on AW to get away from real life and have a little unrestrained fun? Now I'm neither a beta tester or allowed into newAW to find out exactly, but I think over restriction and over realism is not really suited to an environment such as AW.
I think the newAW principle is a great 1 for potential, but if its going to be a huge human based RPG it really needs its own universe, possibly 1 where AW citizens can get in using their Active Worlds citizen number and Passwords, but other people can register to use it at a lesser charge, say $40.
Visiting Player: Hmm, I love this game, ill register, but egh, for only $20 more I can play it, AND get into another 2000 places... I wonder what I will do.....
So lets strive for some function, but lets not overdo it? The universe isn't ready for something that is so close to real life in situation wise that it offers as much stress in uni as it does in real life.

Well personally i think that it is more then just one thing. it is a world
that will use alot of the new features aw has been implementing. the reasons
i fill that there are so many restrictions is that there is only so much
space in world. you cant build a 3d terrian and not have the restrictions on
it to prevent people fromcovering large ammounts of land and not use it. it
is let slide in aw more becuase of the size of aw. newaw is smaller. but aw
is taking a leaf from other componys books. maxis's thesimsonline is a great
example. allready tso is becoming a hit with thesims users and newaw fallows
a similer princible. its all about community. if you want a bigger house you
need money and yopu earn it through involvement.

How are they letting users build the terrain? Is it similar to AWTeen's
method? If so, then it's no different than covering huge blocks of land
with landa.rwx's in aw.

Well see Mark, some are, and that is why it is your choice to go into newAW.
No one is forcing you into it, so your opinion may vary from many others
