Bowen, I have no idea, nor do I think it is even important who MM works for,
but there are a lot of people out there working for companies for free. For
example, online games like EverQuest, Ultima Online(used to), The Realm, and
others I can't remember anymore have Online support staff that help with
often encountered problems in the game and assist in solving them and
reporting to the company faults and failing game mechanics. For 1 year in
EverQuest I was a Guide and never once was I paid to do the customer service
I gave. I enjoyed being in the position, and helping people get their
problems fixed. It's a mostly thankless job, but there is a satisfaction you
get from doing it and being part of something.
