I wouldn't bother using that exploit since it will eventually be fixed.

If you build something with it..and the code is fixed..the objs will still
rotate, you'll just have to find a new code to use for making new objs
rotate.

No Agent, I don't think you read Comit's post in the community forum..

Basically what would happen is before a db rebuild, all you need to do is
enable move and rotate in the world. Rebuild the DB, then disable it again.
None of the current obs with the move/rot hack will stop working... ;-)

As for the new hacks John, I have no idea what they are or even if there is
new ones.

No. The rotation happens on the browser end each time you visit the area. If the exploit is fixed, using a bunch of periods won't let you use the commands unless you have the rights needed to.

Forgot I blocked you. Actually the checking to see if you have the rights is on the
server side isn't it? Supposedly putting all those ....,,,,,; stuff confused the
server to not check the following commands after it I'm guessing.

All of the objects I used with the old exploits still rotate...

Yeah... I guess that would only make sense.

Well that's pretty stupid if it's true. Maybe the world server should try to validate the action line and only add what it understands and validates.

Well I suppose it makes sense they would, then, since the browser can't really be trusted to handle rights-based access.

Seems to me that the whole "special commands" rights system needs an overhaul :\

Yeah, or just turn special commands on and no one will even bother to look for them.
It's not like there's going to be an uproar in vandelism because special commands are
on.

Yes...I agree with john. I was talking to an AWC member recently and he/she
said that they WILL fix all the codes soon...and any object that has the
code on it could possibly be deleted.....so I wouldnt use the code anymore.

This is just my 2 peneth but here it goes.

After being in AWTeen for qute a while and seeing allot of the world I can see that there is indeed some vandalism, however this vandalism does not come from move or rotate commands, instead it usualy involves just placing the object there in the first place. For those of you who have heard about how the Major Events Committee and the Just Ask Me program had a mini war at GZ as part of an event and used moving objects to attack eachother with missile objects etc then please dissregard it as it was Vandalism as all parties agreed and it was immidiatly deleted by whoever built it after it was finished (FYI: Major Events Committee won).

I do not see that problem that AWC has with enabiling special commands, and I find it very strange how they do not realise that people jut cannot be bothered to Vandalise anymore because its seen as sociably unacceptable and not a "cool" thing to do. If there is any vandalism such as stray objects / move encroachment im sure it will be at levels that the PK's / GET will anihalate easily. AW is by far the most popular world (although AWTeens beating it recently, I wonder why...) so why not give it a chance AWC?

Just an FYI... objects in the AW world with the move rotate commands on
them will not be deleted, and they will not stop working after the next
database rebuild. 9 9 9 has told the SW's that before they rebuild any
database, they will close the world first, enable move and rotate, then
rebuild the database. After rebuilding is complete, they will likely turn
move and rotate off unless the guys upstairs change their minds, and then
reopen the world.

In this way the objects using move and rotate with the workarounds will
still be recognized as valid commands when the database is rebuilt.

So in short, you have nothing to worry about. :)
