How many WTC memorials will be built within the next week?

Winner gets nothing besides an incredible ego boost. :)

Hell, I'll guess 14.

Or maybe we should break out the ZAW objects and build missile silos instead because thats what is gonna be next if Bush gets his thick headed way.

Is this appropiate? I don't know what you're trying to say with this post,
but it seems like to me, you're ridiculing the amount of memorials built for
people who have lost their lives. If anything, there should be over 3,000
memorials for each person that died. To make bets out of something sort of
solemn in American culture is pretty disgusting, even for a gambler like
myself.

nothing! What a talent!"

I'm going to have to disagree, the amount is starting to get rediculous. Sure it's
sad those people died over something so stupid, but we don't need 50 trillion
Internet memorials.

if ppl feel the "need" to build one then the need is there its called
respect

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm feeling as if all these memorials
are because everyone is trying to prove something, instead of everyone
getting together and expressing grief or loss. As for the bets, just a
mechanism to get a point accross. The death of those people is something I
take seriously, but the feeling I get of overpatriotism seems misplaced.
Just my view...

geez, very likely that a country "on the other side" of the world will
attack. But it is typical USA thinking; lets fight our wars as far away as
possible from our ground (like Viatnam, Korea, Iraque).
If USA stopped acting like the "police of the world" I bet other countries
would not feel so hostile against it either.

I believe the point is that people go overboard when there is really no need, wouldent it be better to practice good will towards all men (and women, except George Bush) instead of building abuot 50 lines of data on some HD

Actually it's purely a defensive measure. There's lots of evidence that
Iraq can blow us away from where its sitting on the "other side" of the
world.

Indeed, Iraq has the potential to annihilate the USA though covert methods (Multiple Biological detonations / nukes etc all at same time in cities etc). Problem is Bush is infinite lack of wisdom thought "I know, ill threaten them with war, im sure they wont get hostile and blow us to hell then"

Well teoretically USA can blow us away any time also (as can many other
countries like Russia, China and India), but we have not decided to attack
them just in case yet.
And Cris it is not defense if USA (with help of UK and maybe some other
countries )attack Iraque, it is defense if Iraque attacks first. Or could I
go and hit someone on the street just because he might have the intension of
hurting me, and say I did it in selfdefense?

they just dont like saddam hussein , so why not implement an american
democracy like they tried in vietnam and korea , what id they have chemical
weapons ? like a dozen other countrys have them , they dont harm on the
other end of the world , and why would oraq go to america and use them ? i
only hear the US gouverment call them a criminal country or however they
said it , sovejetunion had more NBC weapons then any one , else , why didnt
USA attack them i fthey were a threat also ? cause they knew they couldnt
win it , but they can from iraq . american and prob UK soldiers will have to
die for nothing but ahuge soap bubble ( nothing ) .

Respect is an entirely different matter. Go add to someone elses memorial if you
wish to pay respect. There's no need for every zit faced 13 year old to make a
webpage with geocities and/or making a bot cover 500 coords in AW to build a damn
memorial. There are already plenty of them. Even some that are AW sponsered.

I wouldn't have thought you would stereotype people so close to your own age... There's really no reason to mention ages or
skin conditions in your post; it would mean the same without them.

Well, that's easy for you to say. You're not sitting under the sniper
scope. :)

Part of the reason why the United States is acting like this is because of
World War 2. The last time we waiting for our enemy to hit us was then, and
by the time that they did, it was almost too late for many Jews, Catholics,
and Irish among others living under Hitler's rule.

So, are you going to let a crazy with designs to take over the middle east
do whatever he wants until it satisifies you that he's going just a little
too far over the line between just "crazy" and "insanity", or are you going
to take him AND ONLY HIM out and stop a firestorm before it begins? That's
what you're looking at here.

The United States is not going to make a mess out of things like they did
with other things in the past. They have learned from those mistakes. It
does not make any sense to wait until Hussein kills someone before you
decide to say, "Oh, well he's not very nice."

If I'm not mistaken, that's why 9/11 happened. When's the next one going to
be? In your country, perhaps?

Last I checked Gore won the populus vote. Bush won the electoral votes. Therefore,
Bush became president even though Gore actually got more votes.
