Whenever a new world is entered 98% of the time the default avatar is male.
Normally this wouldn't bother me, however for years now I have scramble
frantically, sometimes straining to resize my windows, struggling to get
into a skirt. I say ENOUGH! Women of AW unite! Let the men - those
persons that spout they are the stronger gender - struggle from now on!

It's no wonder you find women posing as men in VR. It isn't protection
against lecherous men as I previously thought, it is because they were
thrown into male avatars so many times, they began to believe thats what
they were!!!

World owners, I urge you to change your default avatars to female!! *points
vigorously at the male audience* Let the men feel what it is to be laughed
at for unknowingly walking around in a skirt!!! *bangs fist on desk* Let
the men show they have the strength and patience to resize windows to reach
the front of those horribly oversized lists full of restricted avatars!!!
Let the men wear those breasts they are always oggling at! oops...did I
say breasts? Sorry to those that are offended by seeing breasts in NGs. *g*

Well....it is just a thought. :)

Is that what you think it is? Not to be rude or anything.. But I can wear a
pink tutu avatar all day long, and not act like a women. Personally, I don't
see how avatar gender is in anyway related to a tendency to pose as the
opposite sex. Things of that nature (crossdressing, and the sort) are
usually caused by psycholocial problems (if not by physical abnormalites).

Maybe you're taking the 'sexist' thing a little to far. :-) One avatar has
to come first. If it's the lady avatar, you're going to have the guy
whinning. If it's the guy avatar then you'll have the ladies complaining.
Think about it for a sec. If the female avatar had always been first in the
list, since the very beginning, don't you think the guys would be the ones
whinning about it?

Because of that.. I'm of the opinion that it doesn't make much difference.
After all, it's only the avatar list... big deal if I walk around for 10
minutes wearing a skirt. I let people think what they want... lol *g*

If you want to give me the URL to a path that has a female avatar listed
first, I'll gladly use it in my world. (I currently use the AW path, and I'm
not going to take the time to create my own just yet.

I totally agree hon. Not to mention that we blondes are restricted to using
only 1, maybe 2 avs in any given world that most closely resembles us in
real life. No offense intended, but I prefer not going as a red head, or
dark hair if possible. I also prefer not having to choose those awful
looking older avs with the elongated faces and toothpick shaped bodies. If a
world is going to offer those older avs, they could at least offer the bird
av too since this will be what most women would wear in that particular
world. I also don't like the business attire either. I don't wear a business
dress in real life and I prefer not to wear one in virtual reality if I can
help it. I could go on and on. I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by the
female choices. ;-"D

Id gladly add better female avatars to my world if someone would make some.
And about the first avatar being male. Well i just copied aws avatar list
for the first part and everyones alwasy accepted it that way. I havent heard
anyone complain. People USUALLY just switch their av when they come in and
not complain you only have to do it once you know.

Ummmm...I think this all goes back to the first and only avatar used in AW
when it first started...guess what it was?:)
Yup...a Cy avatar...short for Chappy actually....
Thus the name for The cy Awards....after our founder.....hehehehe!

woman* hah! lol...and you have crappy avs? maybe...but how about the male
avs in most worlds...bent up queer legs, ugly shirts...ugly hick like
clothes....everyone's summoned to using Rick in aw and Xelag in awteen, lol

Personally I'd like to see Qtips become the default Av. Especially for my
maps. Qtip you ask? Well its like this my bot locates people on the maps
based on the body position unfortunately Av bodies are wide so the locations
are 20 meters +/-. So I propose that Qtips should be the default Avs because
locations on the maps will be more accurate you see. And I've yet to see
gender Qtips. Well that's my two bits.

(tourist) avatars is so you can have 1 of each gender!

hehehe I built a worm avatar because worms are hermaphrodites (both or
neither sex as you see fit to interpret) ... maybe I should make that my
defaut avatar as it will make both genders happy ... unless you have
something against bisexual hermaphrodites?? LOL

I know quite a few worlds that has a female default avatar, but I
personally think I look kind of cute as a princess *g*
I guess the order is based on the bible (as much is even if we do not think
of it ) ,,did it not say that first a man was created and from his ribbon a
woman ? (or something like that )
